I am attending the Keystone GT in Hershey, Pennsylvania next weekend. It is a two day five game tournament using the Swedish Comp System for army lists (here is a link to the Swedish Comp System if interested: swfbr.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=4494). All armies must score an eight or higher for this tournament. My list comes in at 14.5 so it is a softer list. Army lists have already been submitted and are locked in but I figured I would share anyway for those interested. Heroes• Runesmith – Shield, Rune of Stone, Rune of Spellbreaking, Rune of the Furnace, General 98 Points • Runesmith – Shield, Rune of Stone, Rune of Spellbreaking 93 Points • Thane – Battle Standard Bearer, Shield, Master Rune of Grungni 153 Points Core• 39 Dwarf Warriors – Great Weapons, Full Command 420 Points • 10 Quarrallers - Shields 130 Points • 10 Quarrallers - Shields 130 Points • 10 Thunderers – Shields 130 Points Special• 30 Hammerers – Full Command 450 Points • 23 Slayers 276 Points • Cannon – Rune of Foarging 145 Points • Grudge Thrower 80 Points • Bolt Thrower – Rune of Accuracy, Rune of Burning 85 Points • Gyrocopter 80 Points • Gyrocopter 80 Points Rare• 10 Irondrakes 150 Points Total: 2,500 Points Lord: 0.0% Heroes: 13.8% Core: 32.4% Special: 47.8% Rare: 6.0%

I took detailed pictures of my first game and plan to make a detailed battle report that I will post in the battle report section. It not be until this weekend that I am able to post the battle report. Spoiler alert, if you want to be surprised with the battle report do not continue reading this post as a broad overview of the games is included here. I had 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw and finished with 53 battle points out of 120 possible. Final position was roughly 27 of 40 some. I had a great time. All of my opponents were enjoyable to play and the venue was nice too. It was in a hotel banquet room which was enormous. I am used to being in tournaments where there is very little extra space. At this tournament they had the gaming hall set up so no two tables were touching which gave plenty of space to walk around and set your army, books and other things down. Game 1 I played dark elves. He had a mounted dread lord, mounted level 2 with lore of beasts, cauldron of blood, master bsb, 34 dreadspears, 5 dark riders, 9 dark riders, 21 black guard, 2 repeating bolt throwers, 6 cold one knights, 5 harpies and 6 warlocks. Mainly he held his army back out of range and/or sight of my shooting. He did send his warlocks forward on a flank to try and take out warmachines. I believe if he would have been more successful in killing warmachines that he would have been more aggressive. But the warlocks miscast early losing a couple of models and both gyrocopters were able to fly over and drop bombs and take the unit out. I was able to kill a bit here and there with shooting for a 14 point win. Game 2 was vs. warriors of chaos. This was a msu style list with a slaanesh theme. Roughly 2 min sized units of dogs, 2 min sized units of marauders, 3 regular chariots, chimera, 6 chaos knights, mounted chaos lord, hero on snake, level 4 lore of slaanesh. Due to his speed I castled. This ended as a 10 point draw. Game 3 was vs. Vampire Counts. He had a close combat vampire on zombie dragon, close combat vampire on foot, necro on foot, 2 units of 30'ish zombies, 45'ish skeletons, Terrorgheist, 2 units of 4 Vargheists and 3 units of wolves. This was blood and glory forward deployment so I got less time to shoot than normal and he got first turn. I targeted most everything at the zombie dragon but only put 2 wounds on the dragon. Things ended up pretty rough. I got a 2 point loss. Game 4 was vs. a High Elf Cavalry Army with no banner of the world dragon. He had 10'ish dragon princes, 2 units of 10 silver helms, prince, noble bsb, level 4 with high magic, level 2 with metal, 2 bolt throwers and a frost phoenix. Shooting did not kill much. He got the frost heart and dragon princes into my hammerers. He then proceeded to miscast on a lore of metal spell and rolled a result of 4 for a large strength 10 template into the middle of his unit. He lost about half of the dragon princes and the level 2 was sucked into the warp. This was bad luck on his part and a big part of the reason that I got a 21 point win. Final game was vs. Dark Elves. He had a mounted level 3 metal, level 2 beast, cauldron of blood, spearmen bunker, 9'ish dark riders, 30'ish witch elves, 2 chariots, hydra, Kharibdyss, 6 warlocks and 2 bolt throwers. I focused small arms fire into the witches but didn't do enough damage to them. This unit is nasty with poison, re-rolls to hit and to wound. They blended through my warrior horde and a few smaller missile units. The cannon did work this game killing a hydra and two chariots. I lost and got 6 points. Here is a picture of my dwarves. Here is a picture of another dwarf army. I really like the display board and alternate dwarf minis. This is part of the vampire army I played. I liked the skeleton on top of the shield. One more post to follow with some additional pictures. Thanks for reading.

Well, it sounds as though you had quite a good time! Congrats on the wins, and your losses don't sound all that bad. Witch Elves are tough for anybody, and vampires can be really nasty. I love the pictures! Did that Ogre player really bring that many Thundertusks/Stonehorns?!? Wow, I've never seen that! And I agree with jerkface, those Lizzie's look amazing! All muted colors really make that intense blue pop! Oh, and those Dwarfs are awesome! I love that he included a Giant Stone Golem in that unit. And the book on top? Was that his rule book?

Yes, the ogre player really used that many of the big monsters and it was awesome! I'm not sure what the dwarf rune book was for, I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner of the army. I was thinking that he might have wrote his army lists in there.
