What the hell is this? GW has rereleased lizards as Seraphon and their fluff states that they are now made of celestial magic, summoned to the battlefield or something. Rather than releasing new miniatures to represent these magic reptiles, they have simply repackaged the old lizard plastics with round bases and new boxes.
I am not a lizardmen player but man, if I was, I would be so insulted by this. Instead I am just insulted that they would take a beautiful thing from Warhammer and try to reinvent it using the same aztek-reptile aesthetic.
It occurred to me recently that GW, without Warhammer support, isn't even interesting to me anymore. I don't care about their new products. I still buy some of their paints. I never thought, as a gamer for close to 20 years, that I could become indifferent to Games Workshop.
Rant over.

I feel very similar and I'm still in shock over AOS.
I've basically been a GW fanboy since I was 10 years old, and never imagined there would be a time where GW would no longer support WFB.

I think it's worth pointing out that it's not all GW's fault.
I'm also shocked how quick people are to abandoned the game. I argue, if you gave up WFB because GW did, then you were never a true WFB player to begin with (harsh, I know!)!

I feel you, Rick. I DO have a Lizardman army and I'm hoping that their "repackaging" of the same old figures is just them trying to get rid of excess stock before they release new models. I kinda doubt it, but who knows. I'm a rather active member over on Lustria-Online as well and most of those main-stream members hate AoS as well. Not all of them, but most. This new repackaging is just another meh money grab that GW is pushing. I think most people are seeing that now and just waiting until the good stuff comes out. They are taking a really long time with it though. That can't be good for business.

Google image search "seraphon" I'm so confused now... A bunch of stuffed animals chained up getting their feet tickled? It is so weird. And so confusing.

There is only ONE Seraphon, and that is Malekith's black dragon!

Huh. That's really weird. Okay, so maybe they are slaves...maybe they are considered monsters...tickling and cartoon-y though?!? Weird.
