I could see using those new Skeletons as Grave Guard, but they look like a nightmare to rank up.
The Fell Bats look good. I wonder how the compare size-wise to the former ones?
Blood Knights look good, but so did the former ones. I think the same problem will exist - too expensive.
I don't like the character or monster.

I don’t play undead, but I would definitely use these if I did, less the characters.

Similar to the new Wolves models, I can see myself using many of those new kits if I ever collect Vampire Counts.

There isn't much in the new line that impresses me these days but I want that giant crab 😊

I will add that I actually really like the new storm cast character model that was shown off (the angel/sanguinius type one). I don’t think id be able to use it as anything in WFB (perhaps some form of daemon Prince) but the design is very good and not totally over the top (in terms of the main armour design) compared to the normal stormcasts

I think the Skeletons will rank up better than the ones in the Cursed City box, which had more wavy robes sticking out the sides - I managed to get them to rank but only with several of them at an angle. These aren't quite so bad, so should squeeze onto 20mm bases better. The Fell Bats - they'll be the same size as the one in Cursed City - as per below on a 40mm base: I'm tempted by more of the Skeletons, to use as normal Skellies with spears. I don't feel they're over-armoured for Skeletons - it's actually the old Skeleton Warriors that look under-armoured for "Light Armour" (a ribcage doesn't count). The height is a bit annoying, but since Undead armies can be raised from all over the place, it could just have been a tribe of particularly well-fed barbarians. Also, I've got the 15 already, and want to flesh that out to a proper unit size. I reckon I'll get the Zombies as well, despite having 100+ Zombies already. These ones are great models, even with the tree roots everywhere (which should be easily removable). The Dire Wolves, Fell Bats and Blood Knights are both cool too, so I'll probably pick them up, though I have enough of each already. Undead are one of my "main" armies, so I generally get good looking models for them, even if I have far too much of it already.

With the pre-orders up, I’ve been able to take a proper look at the new vampire Lord. There were elements of it I quite liked at first viewing and now you can see the full thing I do really like most of it. There are two issues, the stupid bat hair (easily removed) but possibly the bigger one is the angle of the model caused by the position of the rock. If he was flat to the ground, I think it would look much better.

Blood Knights - £39.50!!! Still expensive for 5 cavalry, but so much better than the old Blood Knights were. Skellies - £36.50 for 20, which is okay. Zombies - £34.50 for 20, also decent. Fell Bats are £31.50 for 3 Shitty bat hair Vampire Lord is £18.50 to the two people in the world who might buy him. Someone was wondering whether the Blood Knights had spare torsos so they could avoid the one boob-armoured one. Unfortunately it looks like there's just the 5 torsos.

Though with the 4 Underworlds vampires being excellent, there's no longer a shortage of good Vampire models.

I think he is likely a better size than the underworld ones but agree they are decent models with no conversion required! I look at the fell bats as the new ones being no more expensive than the old ones and they look a hell of a lot better. I’ll still stick with manic for zombies and skeletons I think though. You just get so much more bang for your buck

The one other thing I forgot to mention is the vampire chronicles book released, isn’t a rerelease of the Von carstein trilogy but is 3 stand alone vampire books including the Red Duke, Ancient blood and curse of the necrarch (+ some short stories).

That vampire lord might have an odd tilt to him if you place him on foot. The bat hair still bothers me. Honestly, I think it might be the neon-red color more than anything.

Next week's Undead: www.warhammer-community.com/2021/05/16/sunday-preview-soulblight-space-marines-and-the-scions-of-mars/The main thing is that the amazing new Wight King is coming in a Start Collecting box, and is exclusive to that initially And then the rest of the stuff: Dire Wolves Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother: Radukar in Beast Mode - definitely a cancelled expansion to Cursed City: Oho, and some good news! Normal Radukar, and his Cursed City underlings are available for order separately - from GW only. Good for those who missed out on the box: I built the above models today - they're damn amazing. Then we have Ratboy Vampire: That weird female Vamp - this time with a winged arm shown not the one we saw before holding a mask: And if you thought that still looked crap, at least it's better than the Boneboys:

That is an absolute quality start collecting box though. Two of those and you've got yourself a grave guard horde and a decent unit of black knights with some wight Lords to support.
