I've seen the Manflayers going for more on eBay than the Australian price which is very surprised. They are imo very reasonably priced compared to the rest of this legends Dark elf stuff.
On another note the Idoneth Leviadon is up for preorder. $10 more than the Eidolon. I'm having second thoughts about the miniature. I just hate the way the covered eyes look.

I picked up the dogs of war, thinking about using them as Shades. The characters on foot and the sorceress on cold one.

Yes, I was surprised and pleased to see the Manflayers up. They were released during 6th edition and were not for sale for very long before going oop. They are one of the coolest regiments of renown and I'm glad they are in this release.

On a random note it pleases me that the descriptions for all this Legends stuff is in the present rather than past tense.
This fits my view of the Warhammer world being set in the time of Karl Franz (cannon) and everything happening after that such as the Nemesis Crown/Storm of Chaos/End Times/Age of Sigmar being hypothetical possibilities depending on our battles and their results and narratives.
"World that was"... Pah. I play in the "World that is"

So, I am unfamiliar with the "Manflayers". They were before my time. What's their story? Would it be worth buying more than one unit?

So, I am unfamiliar with the "Manflayers". They were before my time. What's their story? Would it be worth buying more than one unit? You can find the background here: warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Mengil_Manhide%27s_ManflayersThey were originally a Dogs of War/Regiment of Renown unit - I could dig their original rules out if you were interested. They were one of the old DoW units that held up better in terms of looks, and also lasted longer than most before being discontinued, as they were often used in DE armies when DoW disappeared - their aesthetic and armament made them ideal Shades with great weapons. As for buying multiples, since you'd end up with multiple command groups unless you want to do some converting, I'd suggest not. The Dark Elf "Shadestar" was a build that I've seen used occasionally (a non-fluffy big unit of shades with great weapons bolstered by characters), and that's the only reason you'd really want to buy multiple sets.

Thanks for the explanation! Since I already have 20 Shades, I'm seriously doubting if I should get any at all. Maybe just get a Morathi and the Cold One Sorceress.

Well, check that. Morathi is no longer up with the others. Maybe she's already sold out?

I just saw that. I was in 2 minds whether to get her and decided to and saw that. Not sure how they’d sold out as they haven’t made them yet (allegedly) maybe the demand was too great? I might give them a call tomorrow

Gw customer service claimed to have no knowledge of it and are looking into it

The gw response was the below:
Hello,
Thanks for your call. Unfortunately, there is a manufacturing issue with that figure and it sadly won't be possible to produce this miniature.
We apologise for any disappointment.

Oh, wow. I wonder if the mold broke or they simply don't want to interfere with the new Morathi sales? Either way, sucks. I was seriously leaning toward getting one.

I’d love to know if anyone has actually ordered Morathi and if they were contacted about a refund. It just reeks of a BS response. Perhaps demand was so great they realised that it would impact the sale of their new Morathi model... mottdon I’d love to hear what they tell you if you query it.
