I’d love to know if anyone has actually ordered Morathi and if they were contacted about a refund. It just reeks of a BS response. Perhaps demand was so great they realised that it would impact the sale of their new Morathi model... mottdon I’d love to hear what they tell you if you query it. That's kinda what I'm thinking too. I bet their response for the classic model was seriously cutting into their inflated prices for the new model. I bet it's not selling as well as they'd hoped. But that price point is SO DANG HIGH!

Another option is GW adopting a no boobie policy.
Would be silly though to put the model up at all. However, it is likely we will never find out the reason.

I kind of think that it is such a dated model they shouldn't compete. Then again its GW.

It's almost certainly a mold issue. Some of the other Made to Order's have been limited by the molds available.
They wouldn't put it up and then take it back down for sales strategy reasons.
Big new Morathi is selling quite well based on the number I'm seeing painted up on the internet.

It just seems like really poor planning to advertise it and then have to take it down because they can’t deal with demand. It’s almost a throw back to the bad old days of GW. It’s a shame as they have really turned a corner recently

It's probably a bad mold/production issue. It's hard/not worth the cost to make a new mold if an old one with limited use breaks. Sounds like they aren't allowing people to order it at all. If it was just a demand issue they could just delay shipping.

I honestly never really liked the oop Morothai, she looks (imo) like a worn out psycho crack fiend. In the lore Morothai is supposed to be amazingly beautiful and feminine (new foot sculpt does a decent job) but I just can't handle crazy crackie mounted meth Morothai. The Pegasus itself looks cool.
I think that you could use the new winged foot version of morothai as a decent substitute for the old version including the flying and Pegasus profile (Pegasus attack profile is represented by Morothai attacking with her wings separate to her normal attacks)
Lokhir Fellheart meanwhile is an amazing, timeless sculpt.

GW have just previewed some new models that will be released probably at the same time as the new edition AOS. Stormcast hold no appeal to me but some of the undead models look very good. A new mounted wraith style model looks sweet but the 4 horse revamped black coach looks fecking fantastic.
And they are also releasing models for purple sun and other spells. They look quite cool and will add a novelty factor when casting the vortex style remains in play spells.

The Black Coach is spectacular. I'm all over that when it's released. Screenshot from the video (click the image for full size): Attachment DeletedThe other ghostly ("Nighthaunt") undead are a mixed bunch - some amazing, others a bit goofy. I'm not enamoured by the ghostly lot carrying padlocks, chains and keys around: This guy is cool-ish, but weird: This looks like a dual kit - the first would make an excellent Cairn Wraith unit; the second is just weird: This guy is fantastic. He's not a Wight (ghostly rather than skeletal) but I think I'd use him as one in WFB, just as the model is so good: EDIT: The video also shows a model in shadows in the distance - it's apparently a female "Mortarch of Grief", who might be a character carried over from WFB mounted on something or other (Khalida? Isabella?). EDIT 2: More photos here: war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/2931 - including a banshee unit.

The Forge World Khorne Lord on dragon looks finally to be finished too - this has been previewed for the best part of a year, from what I recall. I think Trish Carden did the dragon. It looks amazing, but Khorne doesn't interest me, so it's one dragon I won't be picking up.

Morathi firing hairy testicles.
I honestly can't see a use for these. They are going to be so high priced for something that likely is on the table for a second.
I think the only good one is the top one.
