Thumbs up on the rider but I'm a thumbs down on the mount. Most of the recent big mount monsters have been pretty rotten I suppose one could say they are...Khorn-y? Huh? Huh?

I'll be writing up Archaon's new rules for 8th edition very soon... Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Surely this new fatty will be the most powerful thing in Warhammer period. I liked your work with khorghus a lot and thought the format was very professional.

Dislike both mount and rider. Let me clarify - great model, great miniatures, BUT... They are NOT Archaon in my mind's eye, sorry.
The mount looks more like an action figure than a true animal monster. Too much humanized arms and legs, not feral enough. Booooo. IMHO.
Great sculpt, great work, in a purely technical sense. Just not my cup of tea.

Just not my cup of tea. The more I look at it, the more I dislike the entire thing. And I'm not sure it's at all well designed. I suppose there is a great deal of sculpting skill (or cad design) involved but the design decisions don't work for me. I would think that I'm completely done with modern GW models if it wasn't for the end times nurgle.

I totally agree. Something about these new digital sculpts doesn't work for me. I paint all the time and it's always a mix of eras of figures. The most satisfying things to put paint on are the older minis. They may have lacked some of the detail and texture, maybe the swords were a little fat...but damn they had character.

Agree I hate to be that guy saying that models were better in my day, but a lot of them are. I'll admit that some of the modern stuff is superior, but there's definitely a problem with the current range. Good thing GW has been doing a great job with the rules recently

If they had stuck with the traditional chimera heads this would have been a whole different model. Even likable.

My favorite minis to paint recently are the Reaper ones. They still use actual sculptors and older molds. Their minis are very much full of character.

Do you like the Bones Chimera? Solid goat sculpt.

I don't mind the bones chimera sculpt bit it's a tad small overall.

I agree. If they made the whole thing, same sculpt at 130% - I'd buy one. (well, another one)

I like that one
It's funny, but GW has never made a decent chimera model.
