That does indeed look amazing and modified Empire rules is the way I'd do it. On the Warhammer armies blog spot I know Matthias did a full 8th edition fan Armybook for Nippon so that would also be worth a look in.

They seem like good models, maybe sprinkle some of the ninja into a Skaven force, as Clan Eshin (Before the Great Ascendancy of course) had good relations with Nippon.
Actually, that gives me an idea, use Samurai as Stormvermin, as humans might be seen as more trustworthy than other Skaven.

I thought he was using that army for a different game system but I could be wrong.
He's probably my favorite army painter but I'm not in love with those pumpkin head models.

Nippon is always a great theme for conversion or building an army that is different. It reminds me of an old white dwarf where a guy made a converted army of samurai ogres. Awesome stuff.

These are amazing. SOOOO tempting...... Someday. I'm kinda torn between Araby and Estalia. Probably Araby first since Estallia is awfully close to the Empire.
