GREAT! This brings us up to ten, though I suppose I'll let people have the weekend to discover and think about it before I start an "official" sign-up period. Once that two-week period is over, the event for 2018 will be closed until next year. At that time, I'll match everyone with their target and PM you their information.
Those who have already expressed an interest in participating, go ahead and start PMing me your info so that I'll have it ready to go.
Thanks, guys! This is one of the biggest things I've missed since the ET and introduction of AoS kinda sent our Old World into a spiral and saw many people leaving. I hope that this can spark a renewed interest in everyone's hobby!

Yeah, and any info you'd like for me to give your paired individual. (I.E. - What armies you play, what colors you prefer, etc. Oh - and Credit Card numbers or Social Security numbers are good too. )

Nice idea but not this callsign. I'm very particular about my models and while a gift is a gift it'll probably never get used and therefore me a waste.

I think it's perfectly ok to just put on a shelf.
It's more about building community and good will

Exactly. We're trying to build something here. Besides, I've used mine plenty of times. It's also nice seeing someone else's style of painting. Make you re-evaluate your methods.
But it's perfectly fine if you don't want to participate. There's nothing wrong with that.

I know being in the UK that postage abroad is a killer and this has to be something I'd consider when sending things to people. Greg

Greg Now that's a very legit reason. I actually won't ship overseas anymore. I've had one too many headaches.

I'm interested but two issues
1) I don't want to ship overseas (been burned too many times)
2) I'll only be able to send a model from my collection, so it may not fit with the person's preferences.
I'm okay sitting out if these are too restrictive

Even if you don't have the same armies as your target, you can do things like make unit fillers, "Capture the Flag" markers, pieces of terrain, etc. It doesn't HAVE to be something to fit in a unit.
For instance, the Ogre drinking the kegs of "Bulldog Brew" picture that I showed in the main thread, didn't necessarily fit in any of my armies (I wasn't collecting Ogres at the time) but I was able to use him as a unit filler for a very long time. Or if you play DoC, I could see taking a Bloodthirster with a collar around his neck and chains holding him down to the ground on a 40x40 base. I'd love to have a unit filler like that!
Also, there are tons of small terrain pieces that you could make for someone (like a Blazing Barricade, Altar of Khaine, Elven Waystone, etc.) I've been playing for over a decade and I still don't have close to all of those pieces and usually struggle trying to find something that can work as a ___.
Point is, don't feel as though you have to buy something. Just simply go to your bitz box and go from there. If you need help coming up with something, let me know and I'll see if I can help.

I think I'm actually too lazy for this I'm just looking for an excuse to paint something in my collection I'll never get to. I think I'll pass on this. But I may paint something and randomly send it to one of you.
