No army list help here, but rather an anecdote. During 8th edition, a friend of mine had such trouble ranking up his plastic bloodletters, all painted in glorious red and gold, that he during a tournament just stacked them in a pile on top of each other on a regiment tray. Quite a sight! After that tourney, he rebased them to 25mm rounds, in order to rank them up for WFB. He didn't have 40k use in mind (although that's a bonus) and this was perhaps a couple of years before Age of Sigmar and the thought of Warhammer fantasy minis on round bases wasn't alien. However, GW has since changed 40k Daemon bases from 25mm to the new 32mm Space Marine standard, so it's not such a neat fit any longer if one was to want the bigger Daemonic infantry bases in 40k. Still, if you retain 25mm rounds, you can keep them on round bases and use them in both 40k and WFB without magnets thanks to regiment trays, and the models which are tricky to rank up becomes much easier when you can swivel them on rounds. They are awful. And Pink horrors the same. Rank them up the first time when you glue them. Number the underside of each base.

Horace thank you so much. That was impressive Now I just need to find a 40k equivalent.

Great posts Horace.
Soul Grinder base is a bit of a worry with how many attacks can come in at it and how easy it is to hit but at Toughness 7 it's unique in the Daemon armies and a great thing to throw at Strength 5 elite infantry and monsters.

Good stuff, Horace.
some additional thoughts (I only play Khorne and Tzeentch for aesthetic and fluff reasons).
Bloodletters are super-fragile for their cost and don't put out that much damage. They REALLY need an herald with locus. Problem: that herald is also really fragile. Keep the herald in a corner and hope for the best...or hope you roll the right gift to give him some resilience. I have experimented with putting the herald on a crusher which toughens him up quite a bit. However, it also makes him a cannon magnet and leads to many more incoming attacks due to base size. Unless you want to go with the 'pile of Khorne' described above you will need to put thought into ranking the models up. Or include a nice unit filler to loosen up the ranks.
The Daemon Prince is decent. It isn't an overpowered, broken atrocity like the WoC version, just don't compare them.
Screamers are awesome. They do put out a lot of attacks at a decent strength and their 'tail-whacking' attack for some reason makes opponents uneasy. On paper their special monster killing bite sounds awesome, I don't think I've ever pulled it off successfully, your mileage may vary.
The soul grinder is good, the upgrades are useful too. In your case it should be an auto-include simply because the model is so 40K.

Don't forget that a Nurgle marked soul grinder is a great way to get your Epidemius tally going early (i.e. first turn). Take the stone thrower upgrade and aim for the squishiest target you can find.
After a couple turns of shooting your Nurgle units will be nightmares!

I do own both, and right now Nurgle is the way to go. With that said there’s nothing against finding a mark you like and going with it, your still going to have fun. 40k wise I would recommend staying mono god bc your army is going to benefit from all being the same mark. You later on may want to add another detachment of something else, but I’d say stay with one mark for now.

The main problem with Nurgle is that I just can't see myself painting another green army So will have to come up with a different color scheme. But that is fine as it's a year away
