I thought some of you might find this interesting. I've backed it for the cheapest single bridge option. Looks cool. Here's the kickstarter link:

I saw that earlier today too - they're nice looking models, though expensive. My issue with most bridges is that it's a struggle to fit a ranked up unit across them - I get that bridges are often narrow, so you shouldn't be able to get a horde across, but I'd want to get a regular unit of at least 5-wide infantry across (either on 20 or 25mm bases). I think these are 120-125mm (edge to edge, including the walls), so you should just about fit a unit of 20mm infantry 5 wide, but not the chaos warriors.

Maybe you could green stuff onto the edges of the bottom if you want more width? I dunno. I'll give it a try. I like the look, it's low profile yet attractive, and I don't think that my models will be in danger from sliding back down one side because the bridge is too "humped".
The legs of the bridges are what bothers me the most. Apparently, they are meant to go on a flat surface, so if you actually have a river terrain, you'll have to do some GS work to make them adapt to the river appropriately. Hopefully that won't mess with the overall aesthetic too much.

I think I'll pass.
Bridges are incredibly easy to make it's not one of those terrain pieces that I look at my table and think: "I wish there were more options for those out there".

I think a ta 5 wide 20mm base unit will fit and the normal ones look pretty good but expensive.

For my river project bridge I am shamelessly stealing Harry's (off Warseer) use of the Frontier Checkpoint Airfix kit. I had also considered the Warlord Games offering but it wasn't quite big enough. I also like to get 5x20mm bases over it

This is a video they made because one of their backers was concerned about shipping safety. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLUqikUREmc&feature=youtu.beI think that it actually shows off the size and durability of the bridge quite well. (It's also the one that I'd get.)

I stole the idea from a display the (now closed) GW in Oxford Circus used to have.

Here you go, possibly the most epic paint log I have ever come across.. I will be completely stealing the way he has done the river as a very quick and cheap option. I am part way through it atm..

Did anyone ever find out where Harry and Hastings got their inside info from on GW releases? I've wondered that for years. Those two were always 99% correct about every single release. I know they even claimed to have seen sprues first hand before they were released.

My impression was that they knew some people who worked there, that is a total assumption though

My impression was that they knew some people who worked there, that is a total assumption though I think that was the suggestion whenever it was asked. I also think (but could be totally wrong) that part of Harry's disappearance from rumours was that he started working with/for them again.

My impression was that they knew some people who worked there, that is a total assumption though I think that was the suggestion whenever it was asked. I also think (but could be totally wrong) that part of Harry's disappearance from rumours was that he started working with/for them again. That's what I assumed as well, because he mentioned several time that he had personally seen the sprues. I've never toured a GW facility or anything, but I'm sure they don't just leave sprues for potential releases laying about for the world to see. I doubt that even family members of people who work there aren't allowed into their R&D areas. That would be a huge breech of protocol, and they certainly don't want their competitors coming out with virtually the same product at the same time as their new releases. Can you imagine what would happen to their sales if AoW, released a Sea Elf army about two months ago? (Especially if they had eyes...) Anyway, I'm sure he was someone who had a fairly good position within the company. I had even wondered if he wasn't a GW plant, intentionally monitoring public comments and backlash. I even thought he was given enough leeway to give "hints" and "tips" about the next releases, in order to drum up anticipation about the next release. Is he active on any forums that you guys know about nowadays? I don't follow Warseer anymore, because it got too ugly and the monitors were becoming way too harsh. Plus, there were simply too many people making comments on there, I couldn't keep up. By the time I got ready to post a comment, the thread was already 3-4 pages further and my comments were no longer relative. (I'm not a slow responder either!) Lol.

I haven't kept an eye out for either, but Hastings does comment on war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/ fairly regularly. I think Harry did some of his hobby logs (like the one linked above) for a while on warseer then disappeared.
