Thanks! I started writing rules for him somewhere on the forum - I think he needs some homebrew ones that make him roughly the equivalent of an undead bonegrinder giant. He's just too big for anything else.

Yeah that model is superb, the paint job just nails the creepy factor. I'd legit have chills facing him across the table!
I love the selection of normal sized skulls across the model too- not too many but enough to sell the scale of the giant itself. Great stuff.

Unbelievable! You finally painted the monster. Great work, it looks incredible, I really like the colours that you have chosen.

I've been working through my Undead... mainly sorting the basing, as I was too lazy to put grass tufts on the bases first time around - that has been fixed. I have also touched up a few models - particularly the Vargheists and Strigoi Ghoul King - I should take photos of them again at some point. I also splashed a load of gore over my Ghouls and Zombies to distract from the atrocious painting; I don't like either set of models enough to put the time in to give them a thorough repaint. I've got a game on Sunday next week with a friend who'll use my Undead - he's going to be holding my castle with a force of infantry "minion" led by a couple of Necromancers while my Dark Elves siege them. The Vampires will be a relief force. I realised I only have one Necromancer painted, so I present to you this guy: ...who is definitely a Necromancer, not an Empire Death Wizard. However, I have a second, identically built model which I intend to paint up for my eventual Empire army one day. I guess I just like the look of this model. I also finally finished off this Vampire Lord, who I must have started work on over 5 years ago:

That Wing Vampire is one of my favorites, but I'm not really a fan of painting him! I found him to be surprisingly difficult!
That being said, you did an excellent job with him, sedge! Looking forward to seeing more Undead!

Some of the models I touched up: Banshee - painted her hair red, as I should have done originally. Gave a bit more detail to her face, and redid the dress so the paint is less blotchy: Strigoi Ghoul King - darkened him so his muscles have more definition, and the gore is less garish: Vargheists - similar to the Ghoul King, they got more definition to their flesh, I brightened the claws, and painted eyes this time:

These are freshly painted - 20 Grave Guard - this time with hand weapon and shields. I used the von Carstein upgrade pack for their shields, and also a few heads from the Black Knight/Skeleton Warriors kits to make them look more different to my red-robed great weapon Grave Guard unit: I love embossed banners.

I like the vargulf model. As you say, compared to newer models it feels a bit undersized but that’s part of its charm. I like you dark/light scheme you did, it really brings the face to the fore and the blood is again a nice touch. Not overdone.

This model is so awesome, I love it! In terms of rules, have you looked at the big version of the Necrofex Colossus from Monstrous Arcanum?
