So tomorrow will be my first LoA with full painted army on the board 😊 Will probably meet ogres but might be OnG or dwarfs too. EDIT: he brought the same list as last time so it was Ogres. We both run pretty all comers lists. Thinking of bringing this, not sure if I should go death or metal as lores. It will be against ogres. We rolled blood and glory. So glad i brought bsb and two banners. And i rolled 1233 for my spells and opted for purple sun and seitch to spirit leach instead nr 1 aspect of a dreadknight(aug that gives fear).

not a fan of the lore of hashut? Not yet, feel you need a bigger point game for it and more wizards backing it up and it is a little all or nothing on the super hex. But I have only tried it once so I am probably wrong But my biggest issue is that I feel I have so much to learn that the game goes faster if I stick to a lore I know better. It comes down to too many new things to learn so will go back when I think I have more games played. It will definitely be played when we start going for 2500p and I can field a prophet on bale Taurus.

After turn 1: I CD got first turn: I put the khan in front of his great weapon main unit. I advanced forward but feel a little bit left heavy. In the magic phase, I rolled 5+4 dice and no channels. He stopped the hex soulblight he let purple sun go that of course missfired!!! Had some luck with direction of missfire and managed to roll a 2 on the chaos dwarf generals initiative test . He stopped spirit leach as last spell. My hellcanon missed even after a reroll aimed at thundertusks to force ld test outside of general and bsb, but my death shrieker had a direct hit (single point ) and killed a unit bringing them down to crucial 3. My magma cannon did even more hitting amazing 7 and eight wounds on iron gut bus. I had two goals, and that was to bring down that two unit to manageable sizes. On his turn he charged my khan with ironguts killing it caught it when khan fled. Mournfang charged my kdaii fireborns. I have no clue on this situation but felt good trying it out as rerolling to wound nuts. In his magic phase, he had 2+2, and he channeled. He started with a bolt that I missed misspelling, but it did 0 wounds to my general. He then cast +1T to ironguts that I opted to use dispel scroll on. I have a long history of regretting holding dispel scroll for later. He finished off with making ironguts stubborn. In his shooting the ledbelchers aimed at my only general hitting 5 and where lookout sir took four on the death shrieker. My general and the shrieked took one damage each on 6s to wound. His cannon aimed at my general with the possibility to hit my death striker instead. The general got a look out sir roll, and the death shrieker was destroyed. In close combat the fireborns were amazing by my backed up dice rolling skills. I managed to do 6 wounds and only took 1 back. He failed the break test, and the last banner model died. He had subpar armor saved and his rerolled to wound managed to remove a lot of possible wounds. Dinner break! Overall I think first turn went to me, but it had a lot of strange dice rolls.

Second turn, more dice shenanigans 😊 In my turn, my magma cannon killed some more ironguts. As did my fireglaives. His ironguts with general Is now very low with only 2 ogres left with a total of 4 wounds. I tried dual charge his cat and it ran. Is should have just charged with my General as all my spells could be cast out of combat but forgot he got a new reaction if I charged with my hellcanon... In his turn, he rallied both cats and his ledbelchers. He charged my fireplaces with his big unit of ogres. We first rolled off for flank/front and it went with front. I then rolled 2 for distance fleeing needing / (6 total as chaos dwarfs have -1) to hide to hide behind the hellcannon, and then we rolled of for his distance charging he needed an 11.1 when he rolled 11, we agreed that we should roll it off as its impossible to know if I moved my fleeing using perfect, so of course I lost the roll off too , I feel like that miniwargaming Cullen. 3 bad rolls in a row and my bsbs and fireglsives had to go home. He killed 11 dwarfs with magic big maw spell with initiative test. So that crippled my last unit. And he moved forward with his other units and rallied his ledbelchers. Cannon missed wounding on a dice roll of 1. After turn 2:

After turn three: more dice shenanigans On my turn i charged some cats that fled. As I had perfect shot with purple sun as his 2 busses (what was left og them after magama cannon) i went for a big and casted it with misscast on 6 dice. It missfired.... Purple sun killing my whole unit except banner, musician, and wizard/general (look out sir) and misscast rolled 10 crippling him as level 1 with only soul light left. So swingy and pretty unlucky my both purple sun got misfire. In shooting I only had Magma cannon left but it still did its job amazingly and killed his last two iron guts panicking his unit and the general fled. If the general would flee of the bord he would be left with 2 points giving me victory. On his turn, he charged my hellcanon with his ogre bus with bsb and firebelly. He rallied his general (might be wrong) and then with his ledbealchers he took down the last 2 dwars left by purple sun leaving me with only 2 points left and Game. He also took down my General left stranded with his cannon with me failing my ward for fun 😊 Or was it: We are not sure about double ones to really for a lonely character that used to be part of a unit. We also are not sure if it touched the edged when we changed it as it went over the edge by 5mm. Maybe I won Maybe he won . Either way the most swingy game I have ever played. Edit: He won Q: At what point after a unit has been wiped out do any characters remaining count as having left the unit? (p101) A: As soon as the last model from the unit has been removed, any remaining characters will count as a new unit. Note that this will cause Panic tests to all friendly units within 6” (including the newly formed unit of character(s)) as the unit has been destroyed.
