Well, if you're wanting to be literal, you could always see if you can find an appropriately sized Aladdin toy carpet and the paint it to suit your tastes.
But if you want other ideas, something I have in the works, is to give my flying guy a "Red Bull Jetpack"! I ordered two cans of miniature Red Bull from a model house website (took some digging to find those!) and I plan on connecting them with a tiny flexible hose at the top (the can's bottom - they'll be turned upside down) and I'll have "smoke" pouring out the bottom (the can's openings) as he rockets off into the air! (I was thinking that I'd give it to a Doombull when I start a Beastmen army. I'll probably use knoffles strategy.)
That's just what I'm going to do though.

I know reapper And brother vinnis both make one. But a quick search for flying carpet 28mm gave a few more results too.

What army is this for? I've always viewed the magic carpet as an invitation to go wild with converting, whether that be a simple mutation like wings, or something more inventive like Mottdon or Knoffles' suggestions, or a Birdmen of Catrazza-esque contraption.

The Dawi Zharr's approach to flying would probably be to create some semi-mechanical contraption with a daemon bound within it (of course). So a jetpack-type thing with a daemonic look (so something like the Chaos Space Marine Raptors' jetpacks) that spurts hellfires out the back. A carpet would be far too flammable to survive in their environment! |

Need to think about the pose  maybe straight up is more dwarfy and leaning toward would make him look like a fairy with a wand. |
