Lol, good luck with that! Empire is probably the most addictive army out there! So many colors, so many paint schemes, so many provinces,.... Just got a response and I will get a new mini from the store, and they have 3 in stock! Do you get to keep the old one too?

I assembled Karl Frans on death law and the kit included a general that will fit on my left over pegasus! So a Captasus!

New Swartzhelm assembled. Still, find crapcast triangles and will need some gap filling later on.

So after some days assembly, I have finished these two chariots for priming. Think you actually should keep them in even fewer pieces when painting, but that is not an option for me

Think you actually should keep them in even fewer pieces when painting, but that is not an option for me I don’t understand how people can keep and paint models in pieces. I’m a kid with a new toy and have to build them straight away! Maybe it shows that I’m foremost a player and not a painter.

But in this case the center planet/sun is cover by an other layer/bowl that makes it more or less impossible to paint assembled. Not to talk about the inside of the chariot all visible books shelves but impossible to paint...

This piece is fully understandable due to the detail but I’ve seen some bloggers not put together the dwarf blood bowl team or Empire engineer without painting them first. It’s so unnatural it sends shivers down my spine 😀

I painted mine in parts. There are book/scroll shelves on the inside of those wagons that I wanted to paint up separately before gluing them all together. Cool kits though! You get lots of spare parts! BTW, those horses are exactly what an Empire horse should look like! Took me forever to collect enough off eBay for my Reiksguard Knights unit!

I usually do the same as Knoffles, and fully build stuff as soon as I get it so I can use it in games - with a painting queue like mine it'd otherwise be sitting as a half-built kit for years, in which case why buy it? However, there are a few exceptions, and the Hurricanum is the one kit that I think 100% has to be painted in sub-assemblies to have a chance of doing it justice. Plus it should be possible to hold it together with blu-tack for games, as the sub-assemblies are a decent size.

strutsagget, to late to magnetize and have a way to switch out the planets and the laser to be able to use both wagon versions? or, find an old war wagon to mount the laser on. you know you want to shoot a giant laser at the other guys!

Sometime in the future I will get the third chariot to be honest, I don't think my group will see any difference so might as well proxy if I want to try I thought the difference was a little too big and the roof too thin to start magnetize it.

I need to go back and touch-up my Hurricanum. I did it right after it was introduced and rushed through it so that I could play with it. I'm embarrassed by it and haven't even taken any pictures of it. Plus, there are a few parts that need repairing. This reminds me that it really needs my full attention.
