And the little block of skeletons is complete. Better find something to do for the rest of the month.

1 Trebuchet complete. This is the newer of the Norba resin models (that appears to have now been discontinued - I suspect due to the recent Kickstarters). I do have the 4 or 5 crew that are unpainted and to be honest, i'm not sure if/when i'll bother with them. I also have the original Treb they did which will be added to the queue shortly.

I like the way you did the wood. What's wrong with the crew?

Been a slow going month, but I finally got Tyrion done. Archers are coming along slowly, and I started in on the Lothern Sea Guard. Holy hell, the Island of Blood models are incredibly detailed, it takes forever to paint one of these guys. Probably good training for my future Lumineth army.

I like the way you did the wood. What's wrong with the crew? the wood is just contrast - snakebite. I’m starting to love the contrast paints for things like this. With regards to the crew, it’s partially laziness and partially that I’m not a fan of the sculpts

I like the way you did the wood. What's wrong with the crew? This is the crew. The sculpts are ok. Some of them are suffering from a lack of crispness of detail that some resin casts get.

Fencing complete for the April 2021 challenge! Nice! Love that set and you are just reminding me that it’s another thing I have to paint!

A bit late for April, and it's not quite painting, but this was what I was working on at the end of the month - Cursed City models (minus the ones from the sprue they missed out the box). The heroes I built as-is, except for the crappy looking Steampunk Dwarf. He's now (another) Engineer (thanks for the arms, Grimm): It's not a great photo, but here are the skellies. They barely rank up on 20mm - they'd do much better on 25mms. It's only manageable in certain combinations, and several of them are looking sideways. Annoying, but there's no way round that: Radukar is big. He needs a 40mm. He's properly Ogre sized, though not quite as brawny. As I got an extra sprue of the evil minions, I doubled up some rat swarms (and bulked up with some spare Skaven rats) so they'd fill 40mm squares: Same story for the bat swarms: And these ones I'll probably use as fell bats.

sedge, are the cursed city skellies in scale with earlier GW skeletons?

sedge, are the cursed city skellies in scale with earlier GW skeletons? Nope - some definite scale creep going on: Part of that is pose, as the WFB skellies have bent legs that make their torsos quite low to the ground. But the new models are definitely bigger.
