It's really cool seeing models take shape from generic plastic toy soldiers to something unique and very personal

The picture a day method seems slow and tedious, but then I look back over a week or two and am glad I did it. Great stuff, really nice painting. Thank you very much! Day 356: Highlighted the red and silver on the Arch Lector.

Love that red, lovely depth to it. Thanks! I enjoy painting red a lot, you can get some nice tones using blue to shade it. Day 360: Did some line shading and painted the Arch Lector's eyes. I shaded his base as well. I plan to magnetize him to the base so he can be fueled on foot or mounted on the War Altar.

honestly I think think your approach to the hobby is quite effective, and definitely better mine. Not going by completed model but going by actual progress probably helps in keeping motivated and get something done every day.
Keep it up, and then we want to see a group photo of all the progress this year

Keep it up, and then we want to see a group photo of all the progress this year It works for me better than I expected. I have many excuses not to paint and many demands on my time. 20 minutes a day isn't much, but I think 20 minutes every day has added up to far more than I would have done otherwise. This is fantastic. Looking forward to hearing what the final count is for the year. Haha, thanks. I plan to do a group photo/synopsis at the start of the new year. Probably not much exciting left this year, though. Mostly trying to get a few movement trays painted. Day 361: Brush primed a movement tray and did some highlights on the Arch Lector's base.

Day 362: Finished painting the Arch Lector's base and did the first few coats on movement trays for the flagellants and swordsmen. My goal of wrapping something up on the last day of the year is in peril, as I'm not sure I have a three day project. Maybe I'll beg the wife for a three hour session and try to knock out Volkmar or another hero model.
