I will grant you real life precedence. and certainly do what floats your boat. but I will just leave this fellow here and say that I'd rather meet your Booby in a dark parking lot.

I was thinking back the other day to previous armies collected, and how silly I've been selling them on. so many high elf armies over the years, probably nearly 20 different armies. Always selling them when I either need to fund another project, depth of depression causes me to lose interest or I have a good idea for a better high elf force.... But each time, I come back, I end up back with the pointy eared, tall helmed, flowered high elves. Sometimes, these armies get no further than an unpainted collection...but other times I get the force up and running and fully modelled painted and on the table. Found some pictures on Facebook, thought I'd share them here - a lot of my older stuff isn't here (I'm not a natural photo taker). So there was a long term army from 7th through 8th that was my general use force, painted in army book blue and white. And, my first army, around the start of 5th, poorly painted and certainly not competitive! Which is your favourite? These were an experiment in trying to get a bright, white army...ended up very beige and creme though. I really loved this force - this was my first force after my sort of general use for I had for store games. Took me ages to paint. This was my first experiment going back to old models, which I have kept going using exclusively only 5th ed spears and archers and often other stuff too. This army didn't get too far, a very boring classic red and white l. This army was after the creme one above. I had just finished painting an Ultramarine army for a commission, so you can see where the inspiration came from. Very swordmaster and mage heavy. Enjoyable army. And this army which never got finished, was the precursor to my love for Avelorn armies. The lacquered armour was fine, but it took soooooo much longer than traditional metals.

Ok, so, update... I had a very bad section of depression and during this, sold all of this collected Avelorn stuff. When I'd got myself back in order, I tried again with a bit of empire but just couldn't vibe with it. So, I'm back on Elves, ordered a load of stuff and will be building and painting a force hailing from the fallen tower of Anlec, dispossessed and desperate

Very interested in the Anlec force. I am just starting a HE force, and am leaning towards a Nagarythe theme.
