There's a few of these coming...
1) Price rise: www.warhammer-community.com/2022/02/09/important-pricing-news/
Not surprising, given inflation is running at around 5% in the UK, and everyone is putting their prices up. They expect most stuff to go up 5%, but resin/books/scenery by 10%, and metal models plus Blood Bowl teams by 20%. They're coming into effect 7th March.
Not everything is going up - paints, brushes etc. aren't, and nor are starter sets. Also, those in Aus/NZ are in luck as their already astronomical prices won't be rising further.
2) Range rotation is becoming more widespread: www.warhammer-community.com/2022/02/11/range-rotation-is-coming-to-warhammer-40000-this-is-what-it-means-for-you/
This has already been the case for the LoTR/Hobbit range for around a year now. Certain ranges of models are cycled in and out of the range. Kind of like "Made to Order" but on a bigger scale. They're now introducing it to 40k, albeit initially only with some old Space Marine characters.
Why it matters for us? The willingness to rotate ranges means there's a much better chance they'll do it for Warhammer: The Old World when it finally drops, and I'd expect them to include old WFB models in that. The challenge TOW was going to have is that there's a colossal range of old fantasy miniatures, and there was no way GW was going to start stocking them all. If they're rotating ranges, then stuff will be available again... but for limited periods of time.
Or this is just GW sneakily permanently retiring old Space Marines.
3) GW is now selling some Forge World models, e.g.https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/tau-empire-tigershark-ax10-gw-2022
This is a small-scale thing at present, currently some T'au kits only. No idea what this means for the future. They might just want to push some FW products while there's a related GW new release.
