Let's just a say, for the sake of this question, that I'm a WAAC(C).
I have a S10 Banishment Irresistibly cast at YOUR WoC Daemon Prince.
Why can't I get an additional D6 hits against it?

The WoC FAQ specifically indicates that Demon Princes and Hellcannons both count as Demonic for purposes of Lore of Light.

Disregard what I wrote earlier - I opened the wrong Update Version. So: what rahotep75 says. WoC Official Update Version 1.0, p.1: Q: Which units in the Warriors of Chaos army count as Daemons for the purposes of the Lore of Light’s lore attribute? (p30/42) A: Daemon Princes and Hellcannons only, as they are the only Daemons that can be targeted separately from any nondaemonic elements

So does that mean they don't count as Daemons for other things such as Warrior Priest Battle Prayers etc?

While the question is limited to just the Lore of Light's lore attribute, the rationale given for the answer should apply to all similar cases. So, I would use this FAQ as a precedent for similar cases.

Would you do the same for the Burning Head/Shadow's Pendulum errata?
Those two spells extend a line like a cannonball, and can be cast into combat...
But no such errata exists for Hashut's Hell hammer, or Slaanesh's Lash...

No. The Penumbral Pendulum erratum does not contain an exemption to target units in CC in any case, and the Burning Head erratum does not give an underlying rationale which could be applied generally.
