Yo yo yo,
I have a unit with 5 characters in that has just had Acquiescence cast on it (gaining Random Movement D6).
In the unit's movement phase, can the Characters leave the unit before the unit makes it's random move?

Yes, but they will still suffer the effects from the spell when leaving.
BRB Official Update Version 1.9, p.11:
Q: If a unit containing one or more characters has had its Movement Allowance altered, will this affect a character leaving the unit, including if he tries to charge out of it? (p101) A: Yes, but for that move only.

Remember that only one character can leave the unit by charging out of it.

Remember that only one character can leave the unit by charging out of it. Did not know that. Is it in the rules or a FAQ?

It is the rules:
BRB p. 101: "A character can charge out of a unit, by declaring a charge in the relevant phase — in which case, he will move and his unit will stay still — it is not permitted to declare a charge of its own, though it can move during the Remaining Moves phase."
Once a character in a unit has declared a charge, the rest of the unit cannot declare charges, which obviously includes any other character in that unit.
That said: it would not apply in this particular case where they are subject to the Random Movement special rule, because Random Movers are not declaring charges.

But the rule only says the unit cannot charge. It doesn't clearly say other characters cannot charge out. A FAQ could go either way. That said: it would not apply in this particular case where they are subject to the Random Movement special rule, because Random Movers are not declaring charges. That was going to be my next post.

BRB p. 99: "if the character is subject to any movement restrictions, then those restrictions apply to whole combined unit whilst the character remains part of it, and vice versa."
Being incapable of declaring a charge is a movement restriction.
