Looks awesome! you played TWELVE turns? how could any models still be on the table then? also, impressive stamina from the players. That temple terrain piece is something else. very cool. Most of the deployment zones were on the table width side, so only 4’. The goblins were 8,000 points, so this meant they deployed roughly three units deep. Skaven/chaos Lustria alliance was 6,000 points so was similar two or three units one behind another. So first wave crumbled but there was plenty still behind. Then also the main board had tons of buildings in the forces of order deployment zone. When occupying a building combat is only fought half as often because assaulting side bounces back if they lose or defender makes stubborn break test (so most of the time). This meant less casualties. Vampires and dwarves had very little left by end though. Going this long did make the winning side pretty clear.

good point on the lower casualty rate due to the building assault rules. How did the fights in the buildings go? Any units that were a whole lot better (or worse) than you normally see them doing on open ground?
Did you consider using the 'city fight' rules from the Glottkin book? (not exactly sure what those rules were called...blood in the streets maybe?). And if you decided against them, anything in particular that you find wrong with them?

I am not familiar with the rules referenced out of Glottkin. So no, didn’t come into consideration, but no specific reason for that. And with the building fights we didn’t see many units broken from the buildings. Only once or twice did a unit fail its stubborn break checks. But there were a number of units who died to the last model while defending a building.
