Hi,
Can the hag/bsp on the Cauldron of Blood in a unit of witchelves attempt to do a Look Out Sir? My guess is, yes. as with other mounted characters in units? or am I totally wrong? How do you best allocate the hits/wounds from a template hit? such as hellcanon.

I don’t have a dark elf FAQ in front of me that says different, but the character mounted on the cauldron is no longer simply Troop Type: Infantry. It’s a Troop Type Chariot. Following the rules for Look Out Sir! on page 99, the Hag should not get a Look Out Sir! from the witch elves. The 5+ ward it gives is just going to have to suffice.
Much like, for example, a grey seer on a screaming bell does not get one either. Troop Type of the model in this case is Unique instead of Infantry now because of the mount.

What saniles says. Note that there is no Official Update Version for the 8th edition DE AB.

Thank you for your answers really appreciated. When we are talking about DE. Can you decline a challenge with the Hag on a cauldron in a unit of Wichelves? if so, how?

Yes, interesting question - you could always accept with the champion of course, but I don’t think you could decline with the cauldron if it didn’t have a place to move that was out of base contact with the enemy unit, correct?

mcnuggs: Correct. In the right circumstances, it is possible for the Cauldron to move out of btb with the enemy, but those circumstances will rarely happen.
