I really like the list and the thought process behind it.
You mentioned aiming for double 6 with the Casket as first spell, do you have a set number of dice you roll to aim for this? Or does it depend on winds of magic.
I really like the mega skeleton block with Tomb King and am sure it would look amazing.
Which Lore of Nehekhara spell do you really want to get with this list?

with the casket there is a good percentage I got minimum 5 or 6 dice.
In this case, in the first 1-2 turns, I use all of them for casting the casket spell.( serching for IF).
In the first 1 -2 turns generally I don't have any unit in melee, so I don't care that much of Nehek spell Ward save 5+.( even if it can protect my units from shooting).
The spell multiple (2) it's useful if we have a big unit of archers...But it won't affect too much my shooting phase because I have just 11 horse archers.
Desication is very good but more useful in melee (so in middle - late game).
if I have more than 5- 6 dice then I go for the ward save 5+.
Nehek is a nice lore and my two "must have" are
- Neru protection
-Desiccation
Both, if casted to support the Skeleton block, can be crucial.
Ward save 5++ doesn't need to be explained
the block can rely on his WS 6 + Armour save 5+ and ward save 5++
Desiccation is very useful
-1 T -1 S
1)with WS 6+ we are already quite skilled in hitting and with this spell our skeletons will also wound quite effectively ( bringing a T 4 Ogre or warriors of chaos to T3... means we will wound half of times)
2) when they will wound us with -1 S points I invested in light armour will be very useful.
A Strenght 4 attack will still leave my Skeleton with an AS 6+ and ward save 6++ (I still roll for Armour save which I wound not have without the upgrade ).
and if a S4 attack becomes S3 ... means having Armour save 5+.
All this just to say that These 2 spells supports very well our block or Skeletons. ( but not only)
The feeling i have playing my list is that I don't have to rely so much on magic to make the army works.
lot of people are playing a second lev 4 lore of light .
Double liche is not my cup of tea.
have you ever notice that an additional liche lev 4 costs 210 points -....like one Sphinx?
Moreover we have also to drop our Tomb King and replace him with a Prince. :-(
Imho investing in a ( lore of light) wizard has just a "theoretical "potential.
A sphinx ( if not killed by cannons) has a "real " effectiveness.
Giving WS 10 to a Unit which has already WS 6....is not a great change.
It can be interesting if Icast it on a monster ...but monsters can t do so many attacks like a big block of infantry.

or the shooting "lasers spells ?
and if we roll bad in magic phase ...in the moment we most need magic support?

For now ..I choose one more sphinx and I add it to my others monsters and heavy cavalry.
