Is he chasing or being chased by the slayers? 😃🤪 Very nice blue color!
I think I would recommend popping the teeth one more level of white highlight if you want too add more depth. It would also increase contrast to blue.

It's gonna be a cool looking unit once I'm done with it. Sad thing is, these new boxes of Squigs only come with 2 Night Goblin herders per box. I'll probably have to supplement the rest with regular R&F troops.

You don't want too many Night Goblins anyway, they just stop your Squigs exploding

I usually go for a similar ratio, only 1 in 3 shots hit the Night goblins and otherwise you can place them to the rear of the unit if you wish.
Whilst contemplating this I was wondering what the best way to set up a unit would be. Is there any utility in deploying some NG as a meatshield when facing enemies which will always strike before you? Or at least mixing the front rank a little to save on those squig casualties

The only reason, other than ASF, would be if you actually want them to blow up in the face of your engaged enemy, quickly. If the NG are all ranked up front, then they'll die first, leaving the rest to blow up. Of course, you run the risk of some of those NG actually surviving, forcing the Squigs to move forward and fill in the gaps. They'd be able to choose who they attack then.

Or at least mixing the front rank a little to save on those squig casualties I discussed the meat shield with my friend and it feels you lose out. You get more s5 attacks from the squigs themselves attacking then from them exploding. Unless you have a lot of units nearby.

Damn those look nice. I may have to buy a box of those squigs. I really like the forgeworld giant squig hopper.

The squig hopper is intriguing. Don't think I have seen that model before. Blue squigs are refreshing. Well done.
