Hi kseibt, Cool, that is not too far from Albany. How is the WFB scene there in the Newburgh area? There is a nice gaming store in Albany (Zombie Planet) with some decent table space, but I haven't had any luck finding any WFB games yet.
Gentleman I am also in The Albany Area, and though I have a huge commitment I must keep that stretches into May after May 7th I'll be available for gaming.
Zombie Planet is a great store and one of my favorite places to game when I do tabletop games. There is also a Warhammer Store that just opened in my town of Clifton Park. There is also two Store under the name Flipside Gaming, one in East Greenbush and the other in Clifton Park. The East Greenbush is the one to go to for Warhammer games as the Clifton park one is smaller and more geared toward MTG and other Card Games.

Hi talusmouse, Great to hear from you and welcome to the forum. That's fantastic, I am glad to meet a local WFB player. I heard about the Warhammer Store in Clifton Park, but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I wonder if they would let us play WFB there, since it is officially no longer supported by GW. I have not been to Flipside Gaming, but will definitely check it out now that you mentioned it. I look forward to getting some WFB gaming in when you are ready.

There are two regular 8E players in NYC, and I live in NE PA and I regularly make the drive to Brooklyn Strategist to play. Additionally, we’ve met at Maplewood Hobbies in Maplewood, NJ a few time, and there is another 8E player sorta near there that I have played once as well.

Welcome! If you are the one I talked to on facebook You can always start a thread/poll and ask what army to collect. Maybe no one of the NY players collects a certain army. If it was chaos dwarfs, vampire count and dwarfs you were debating over.

Fairly new to the forum, so I figured that I would post that my brother and I (and our local playgroup) are near Nevada City, Ca My brother’s shop just did the new signage for our local gaming store. They just moved to accommodate tournament and play room, and of course, my brother was able to convince the owner to run 8th ed events. Hopefully we will be able to bring together the local players who’ve been fractured in these years since the End Times That’s awesome! More 8ed for the people!

Hey all, Long time fantasy player here, though I've not had an opportunity to play much in many years due to just having no opponents locally. I don't suppose anyone here is in the Austin, Texas area? I'd be interested in even some of the other major Texas cities as I could occasionally take a bit of a drive for my favorite game! I've had many armies over the years, but the current one I have is Chaos Dwarves. I've also just started working on a Wood Elves list. Did you say wood elves and chaos dwarfs? Guess what we got in common?

My brother lives down there, played 40k for a while, but his army is 40K oldhammer and apparently the new edition release made EVERYTHING he has obsolete. He is super bummed and was texting me today about how up shit creek he is right now. I'm trying to encourage him to roll into WFB and I recalled your post from earlier this year. He has absolutely nothing at this point, but I wanted to see if you had found anyone to play with down there, maybe you all can start getting a small gaming group together. Let me know man.
Edit: He wants to start with Dwarves. I spent some time on the interwebs with him looking for decent Dwarf alternatives since GW is super expensive
