eefl.freeforums.net/thread/442/3000-high-elves-skavenThat's my list I had immense fun and I don't feel underwhelmed playing as high elves. It was a great game and it was a lot of back and forth. My magic phases were noticeable better than my opponents. He did manage to get his plague spell off on my sword masters and killed 13, but then he rolled a 1 to see if the plague continues, so a 1 let's me select a unit within 12" I chose his unit of 35+ storm vermin and killed 18. He rolled a 1 a 2nd time and instead of doing it again to him against his other unit of 30+ rats I chose to end the spell. It was crazy. My frost phoenix performed innumerable. At first I failed a 19" charge. Took a stand and shoot from a support weapon and suffered 3 wounds. Next turn I apotheosis and got his 3 wounds healed. But damn I wish I took pictures. It was insane.

Me by far, had 3 Bolt throwers left, frost phoenix with only 1 wound suffered, my unit of phoenix guard had 19 models left, had my unit of 15 archers and lvl 4 arch mage unscathed. My frost phoenix was hands down mvp. Took on his queek squeek storm vermin, horde. His unit of 7 rat ogres. That frost phoenix is insane. Only real damage it suffered was from an stand and shoot and took 3 multi wounds which I healed with apotheosis high magic spell. I still had roughly 1k points left out of 3k total and I basically tabled him. After I broke queek squeak storm vermin and caught them on pursuit, all he had left was a fleeing rat ogre unit of 2 rat ogres and pack master. So I call that being tabled lol.

Elven domination!
Sounds like just one of those games for your opponent haha. Him suffering huge casualties from his own spell is classic 😀
Frost Phoenix is looking good.
How did you kill his Hellpit Abomination?

Elven domination! Sounds like just one of those games for your opponent haha. Him suffering huge casualties from his own spell is classic 😀 Frost Phoenix is looking good. How did you kill his Hellpit Abomination? I should have taken more pics because the game was crazy. He was very good at playing and manuvering and actually had his hell pit flee one of my charges from my sword masters with flaming attacks. There was this huge multi charge combat that included first my silver helms charging into his doom wheel, killed it then over ran and clipped his rat ogres. He rear charged the silver helms with his hell pit, he rolled feed for his attacks so only models in base contact and my unit is 15 models. Umm then after him doing magic and shooting I had 2 sword masters charge into the hell pits rear, I brought it down to 1 wound left, he killed the sword masters. The combat is ongoing because of everything locked in combat. My frost phoenix charges the hell pits flank And kills it. He had his queek squeek charge the flank of my silver helms who were now 1 rank left. It was insane and complex. I should have tooken pictures but it was so awesome I was wrapped up in it. All you need is two sword masters with flaming attacks, 1 a champ to bring a hell pit down to 1 wound. Also he passed a double 1 ld test on his rat ogres one of those rounds of combat.

Pretty sure a hellpit is ITP and so cannot flee.
Sounds like a fun game though!

It only has the stubborn rule, which means it counts as steadfast so it doesn't suffer penalties to ld tests for break roles.
His doom wheel is also random movement, but it broke also.

Now I'm going to have to look into it closer. I could swear all the times I've fought the thing it's not able to flee...
Maybe I've been playing it wrong.

You are right. It is only stubborn. Huh.
So...now it tests for panic whenever units break/are destroyed within 6".
