Hello all I played a game Friday utilizing the following list:
Lords:

Heroes:
Exalted Hero w/ MoT,BSB,enchanted shield,talisman of 5++
Sorcerer w/ lvl2 upgrade,chaos familiar,barded chaos steed,dragonhelm,lore of shadow
Core:
25 Warriors w/ handweapon,shield,full command,standard of discipline,MoT
5 Marauder Horsemen w/musician,standard,spears,shields
5 Marauder Horsemen w/musician,standard,spears,shields
5 Hounds
5 Hounds
5 Hounds
Special:
1 Chimera w/regeneration
7 Chaos Knights w/full command,MoT,ensorcelled weapons
Rare:
Chaos Giant
The opponent:
Lords:
Dwarf Lord on shield - I didn't see his list but this guy had a great weapon and was T6
Runelord - Had a dispel scroll
Heroes:
Grim Burlocksson
Core:
17 Quarrelers
10 Thunderers
30 Warriors w/ great weapons
Special:
20 Hammerers
2 Cannons 1 hand a rune of burning, the other had a rune of forging
1 grudge thrower - rune of accuracy
I was rolling on Lore of Shadow I got: Pit of Shades, Melkoths Miasma, and Penumbral Pendulum
My Army:
His Army: (organ gun is a cannon)
Setup:
Bottom of Turn 1:
One cannon overshot the warriors and killed 1. The other cannon put 5 wounds on the Giant. Ouch. Quarrelers with rerolls (Burlocksson) manage to kill 3 Warriors. The wood on the dwarf side ended up being a fungus forest and the Thunderers failed their stupidity test turn 1, advancing...1 inch. But they're still in the wood and aren't shooting this phase! I rolled snake-eyes for winds of magic, but managed to two-dice Melkoths Miasma on the cannon. This allowed my marauders and their horsies to hit on 3's! Between the vanguard move and NOT going first the Marauders on my left flank manage to charge the flaming cannon. And kill it. My Chimera rejoices as it can now attempt regen saves. Nothing else happens except for some juggling on the Dwarves side and a full advance from my entire army.
-Death of a flaming cannon-
Turn 2: His Warriors charge my Chaos Knights!
Thunderers annihilate a unit of dogs; thankfully the Chimera is 7" away and so doesn't have to check for panic. (I...meant to do that?) I don't fancy panic on LD 6.
Bottom of Dwarf Turn 2:
There's no giant in this picture cause...well he ate another cannonball. Knights flubbed and only killed like 4 dwarves, although one of those kills was in a unit champ vs. unit champ challenge and so I managed a point of overkill there. Lost 1 knight in the process. Hamemrers did not declare a charge against the Marauders and stayed still. Grudge thrower killed a marauder in the horseman unit on my right flank. Quarrelers shot at the dogs and killed...one? No rerolls this turn because Grim wanted to earn a Giant Slayer tag for himself but he failed to wound with both his shots that connected.
Chaos turn 2:
Chimera flank charges the thunderers. Kills 6 with no wounds back. They break and run but manage to get away from him.
Knights finish off the Warriors in combat. He failed his fear test- I caused around 9 kills; he killed 1. He failed his ld9 steadfast break test and the knights ran down the warriors. In the process they managed to overrun into the fleeing thunderers and wipe them out too.
Bottom of Turn 2:
Marauders on my left flank move behind the hammerers to line up next turns charge against the grudge thrower. Dogs move up on left flank to redirect the hammerers. Marauders on right flank move around the woods to line up a next turn charge against the cannon. Knights, Chimera and warriors get ready to charge what's left of the depleted Dwarf force next turn. Magic phase saw me get 9 dice, and my opponent 4 (double 4's with a successful channel). I threw out a 2 dice Melkoths on the quarrelers, but he used a dispel rune to cancel it. I then 6-diced a pit of shades; no irresistable; he couldn't dispel it and so half of the hammerers (11 of them) were dragged to their deaths by shadowy spectres from another realm. His lord passed the test.
Dwarf Turn 3:
He killed some dogs in combat then reformed to face my warriors. Cannon fired grapeshot at the knights; I passed all my armor saves. Quarrelers and Grudge thrower kill 2 more Warriors. He interposed Grim between the cannon and the Marauders, and the Runelord between the grudge thrower and the other Marauders.
Chaos Turn 3:
Magic phase see's me get 5 dice and my opponent 3. I throw all 5 at a boosted Miasma on the Hammerers. I succeed and roll a 2 on the D3. I'm now hitting him on 3's!
Knights charge quarrelers. Warriors charge hammerers. Left flank Marauders charge Runelord. Right Flank Marauders charge grudge thrower. Chimera charges cannon.
Marauders put a wound on the Runelord. Runelord kills 1 back. He passed his break test.
Knights and sorcerer kill 5 Quarrelers. He's no longer steadfast and must pass a break test on 4's. They run. Knights pursue and catch them but end up off the table.
BsB issues a challenge. My exact words: "I'll probably regret this but why not, my BsB issues a challenge". Lord accepts. I hit him once (needing 3's) with my 4 attacks but he's T6 so I fail to wound. He then puts 4 back on me with a great weapon. I pass 3 5+ saves and then make my 4++ save with the Ward #TzeentchProtects. Warriors then kill 5 Hammerers. The remaining Hammerers kill 2 Warriors. He's unbreakable/stubborn or something and so doesn't run. Opponent calls game here.
Had a blast. There were some genuinely tense moments. Opponent realized some mistakes right away with deployment and movement on first turn. He also realized he didn't prioritize targets well. He's a great guy and I look forward to more games with him. He's got Orcs and Goblins, High Elves, and Warriors of Chaos all painted and ready to fight so look for some more games in the future!
Poor Giant. But...his sacrifice allowed the Chimera to live.
