Cannot wait for the Black Gobbo model!! I'm so excited about him I had to stop everything and immediately write a set of rules for him: The Black Gobbo EEFL rules.

I'm not that huge on either of the new White Dwarf models but releasing 2 makes up for them relabeling the Slayer as the Whitr Dwarf last time.
Black gobbo is the best model of them all! Cool release.

To be fair, they had no plans for a new white dwarf model due to the magazine's down-grade into a sales pamphlet. When they changed it they only had six months to come up with something.
I wonder if he'll be usable in 8th as the last one was usable in Silver Tower?
(Also, did the 40 anniversary= 40k joke go over anyone else's head? >_< )

------Well, I like that they are bringing back the Goblin special weapons for Blood Bowl, but not really a fan of those models.

Yeah I am not really enjoying much of the aesthetic. Not sure what exactly has gone wrong, maybe they have been instructed to produce models which don't look anything like the old stuff

Looks like there will be a Doom Diver on this new Goblin team. Maybe a new model to go with it? www.talkfantasyfootball.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=44029Probably in BB works by being thrown by the troll (goblins can be thrown by the troll down field) and the wings allow it to readjust its landing point.

The 'Ooligan is funny too.

Sorry if this is off topic but does the newest version of Blood Bowl take place within the "world that was" or the new fake GW universe?

Not clearly _either_ and it's something GW specifically has addressed in the last few months. It's mostly the World That Was but the Blood Bowl world is more comical, and contains far more interspecies friendly interaction then 8th Ed warhammer did. For example Skaven are theoretically a myth to most Empire citizens through most of the history of the Old World. That doesn't fit with the idea of Skaven teams playing against Empire teams in front of large Empire crowds. However stadiums are often based in cities (particularly Empire cities) that we know from the WFB maps.
It fits somewhat more with earlier versions of Warhammer fluff to some degree as GW's vision for the old world became darker through the WFB editions IMO. However the BB world still has far more interaction between nations/races then WFB envisioned at any point that I recall.
