Great work, knoffles! I'm sure you're relieved to have finally finished him! *Word of warning* - be careful when handling and storing this guy. I've already had to re-glue mine back together several times. He can be fragile, which you wouldn't expect from such a heavy model.

My paint board is definitely lighter now (or was until I acquired a number of 3rd Edition dwarves, I can see a Wayne England homage coming on!). Storage wise, he is bubble wrapped in a Tupperware box (with my unicorn mage), which is in the ‘wood elf’ solid plastic box. Unles I do something stupid, he ‘should’ be ok.

It definitely looks much better with the lighter green on the leaves. Good work !

So I've failed to complete a Wood Elf per day (as if I'd ever manage that) but I have finally finished off another 10 of my 90's figures*, this time in the form of the classic waywatchers. I much prefer these models to the later releases, I think I prefer the ghillie suit look. I even added some Army Painter meadow flowers to some of the bases after a blogger recommended them and I quite like the contrast to my normal lazy static grass base. * ok 6 were from the 90's and the other 4 were ebay purchases to round out the unit size to 10 (and because I didn't fancy painting the newer waywatchers I own). I've kept the reoccurring theme of various shades of green and then added warlock 'purple' so that they link into the army colour scheme.
They were deliberately given a very heavy wash so they'll had a darker feel to them. I tried to keep highlighting to a minimum on most of the model, as this meant that the highlights on the individual leaves on the cloaks were far more prominent.

They look great and what a beautiful meadow they are on!
If I would buy treekins again I would buy kurnos hunters too.

Very nice. I really like the hit of purple. It goes well with the green swords.

And I'm pretty much done with the BSB now as well. I did attempt to do some freehand on the banner and it just reinforced why I don't do any and prefer the normal paint by numbers that painting models allows . I'll have to go back and sort this out but not for the minute.

...I like the green dots on the banner and the bit of tree stump If anything you should do that same on the blank side They make the banner stand out as being more important than a unit banner.

Too kind gents. The bit i'm not happy with is the 'trunk'. Will have a play on some paper and then try the back.
