So a while back I picked up an eBay loot with some chaos dwarfs and since then added some more here and there. Some might have a questionable origin but the quality is excellent, so I have not complained. It's now time to assemble my first 1500p army. This will probably be a long project ongoing over some years. The current state of the army:  It's a long way to go... |

I have started rebasing back some of the warriors. The first thing I noticed was a lack of a kdaai destroyer but I liked the titan forge fire golem.  The second thing I noticed was a lack of a bsb. Started converting and pinning a hero/deamonsmith.  |

That babe conversion is looking awesome and the titan forge miniature fits the army. That Tauruk looks great, I'm going to have to pick that figure up at some stage.

I am still contemplating color scheme. Will not do red or green as I have a lot of those already. The one colors that come back to my mind is turquoise. |

The Titan forge model looks like it has really crisp detail. I’ve no experience with them, did you have to clean it up much?

More like where the joints of different parts need to be glued together had some scraping. Like all the axes where they need the hands. Will probably also pin hands to their arms for precautions. I would say the scraping was somewhere between new plastic molds and fincast but with no lousy fincast baubles in the model  |

The army looks great already ! I really like the BSB. I sometimes look at the old metal chaos dwarfs models on eBay because they are silly and funny, I like them. But the forgeworld stuff is also very cool.
It’s a good project to build an army of Chaos dwarfs, we don’t see many of them out there. I will follow !

Yes, I do like the old ones too but prefer the ”new” FW ones. The problem is finding all the units. No blunderbuss, no great weapons, hobgoblins, Kdaai. One of my neighbors is selling his metal old CD but not sure if I want to mix. But they are indeed funny! |

I like that shade of blue you've used for the banner - your dwarves should look really good in that.
For other model sources, try The Alternative (on ebay) and Lost Kingdom Miniatures. Both do good quality Chaos Dwarf models that fit in with the current FW range. You've obviously found Titan Forge already; there's also Titan Wargames - they do decent Chaos Dwarves, though the level of detail just isn't anywhere close to FW.
