So I am trying to make a list with bulls in a low point game. Lost my 4 first games so need help... End times never happens so 25% lords and heroes. It's an all-comers list. How do you make it work? Feels so weak. Little Bulls Bull Centaur Taur'ruk: Blackshard armour; Dawnstone; Sword of Striking; Dragonhelm 220 Daemonsmith Sorcerer: Level 2 Wizard; Dispel Scroll; Charmed Shield 160 10 Chaos Dwarf Infernal Guard: musician; fireglaives 180 20 Hobgoblin Cutthroats: musician; shields; bows 114 20 Hobgoblin Cutthroats: musician; shields; bows 114 5 Bull Centaur Renders: Bull Centaur Ba'hal; musician; standard bearer (Gleaming Pennant); additional hand weapons 255 Magma Cannon 145 Iron Daemon War Engine: Hellbound 310 Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher 100 1 598 points

you've played this list four times, right? so what happened, what went wrong? who were you up against?
I really think you need some chaff, i.e. wolfrider or khan. And picking the right target for the Iron Daemon is key. it is nigh useless against unstompables. Have you considered putting the hobgoblins in one brick? shoot as a horde then fight as a bus?

Sorry no I have played 4 different lists. Lost with them all. First 3 games I could have made better choices and last game against Skaven was a Skaven dice game where I actually played well. I am finishing my bulls this weekend and want to try em out but struggle hard with making a list. I would like a khan or two but 25% limit prohibit any to be fielded. Same with bsb. As my kdaii is finished I probably should bring it instead. Little BullsBull Centaur Taur'ruk: Blackshard armour; Dawnstone; Sword of Striking; Dragonhelm 220Daemonsmith Sorcerer: Level 2 Wizard; Dispel Scroll; Charmed Shield; Channelling Staff 17510 Chaos Dwarf Infernal Guard: musician; fireglaives 18040 Hobgoblin Cutthroats: Murder Boss; musician; standard bearer; shields; bows 2424 Bull Centaur Renders: Bull Centaur Ba'hal; musician; standard bearer (Gleaming Pennant); additional hand weapons 210Magma Cannon 145Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher 100K'daai Destroyer 3251 597 points

I dont know about the destroyer. Do you play against your friends? I mean it is very strong and has the potential to kill whole armies, especially at this point level. I dont know about your meta but against my friends I would not bring a destroyer at less than 2500 points or at least warn them.
Otherwise I would include some infernal guards with shields if you have the models. They are cheap (for chaos dwarfs) and really good anvil unit. If you include a bsb they are also stuborn.
For the bull centaurs I would either choose shields or great weapons. They do not benefit that much from an additional st4 attack but become very durable with shields or good thin cann openers with great weapons. Great weapons would probably best, since you do not have many high strengh attacks in your list.

And at 1600 I will at average face 2 warp cannons and a doomwheel or equivalent 😊 We have a very friendly bring your strongest units (if you want or only fluff) approach as no one has faced anything too much. Also I have painted my kdaii and want to field him. 😊 Regarding bulls I don't have points for gw but shield might be a good switch. Regarding bsb, no points 😞

I have only three games with my chaos dwarfs, so I am less experienced than you. But here is my take on a 1600 list:
0 Lord 2 Heroes: 350 Pts. 21.8% 2 Core Units: 468 Pts. 29.2% 3 Elite Units: 395 Pts. 24.6% 2 Rare Units: 385 Pts. 24.0%
*************** 2 Heroes ***************
Bull Centaur Taur'ruk + Black Shard Armour, Great Weapon - - - > 185 Points
Daemonsmith Sorcerer, General, Level 2 Upgrade + Luckstone, Enchanted Shield, Dispell Scroll + Lore of Fire - - - > 165 Points
*************** 2 Core Units ***************
22 Chaos Dwarf Infernal Guard, Musician, Standardbearer, Champion, Pistol - - - > 298 Points
10 Chaos Dwarf Infernal Guard, Fireglaives - - - > 170 Points
*************** 3 Elite Units ***************
3 Bull Centaur Renders, Great Weapons - - - > 150 Points
Magma Cannon - - - > 145 Points
Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher - - - > 100 Points
*************** 2 Rare Units ***************
K'daii Destroyer - - - > 325 Points
5 Hobgoblin Wolf Raiders - - - > 60 Points
Total Points The Legion of Azgorh : 1598
Try to castle in a corner and use the K'daii destroyer to protect your open flank. This way your opponent may not be able to direct all of his units against you at the same time but one after another.
Put the big infernal guard unit in front and your war machines in the back. The fireglaive unit with the level 2 caster and the bull centaur unit with the Taur'ruk go slightly behind the main unit to both flanks. Fire with the war machines (magma canon for the strongest infantry unit near you and deatshrieker for the strongest single model). This puts pressure on your opponent to charge you. Your nearest unit is the big infernal guard block, which has to hold (a bsb would be better, but I dont see were to spare the points with the Taur'ruk and the destroyer). If they hold you flank charge with your fireglaives and your bull centaurs.
The wolf raiders can either redirect some of your opponents units or go after his war machines.

Do you run your Tauruk with the bulls or Solo?
I like to use a unit of 3 Bull Centaurs with Great Weapons in my chaos dwarf lists.
I also like to run a solo Tauruk, I tried running him with the centaur unit for a while but prefer him running around like a boss by himself.

I have so far only run him with the group. Need to figure out what he is good at.

It does not matter if you have fun, but otherwise: could it be that you are a jack of all armies and master of none? What I mean is: if you do not want to have just fun, but also a reasonable chance to win, it is better to concentrate on one army and get to really understand how to use its advantages, while neutralising the drawbacks. That is something you can only learn through experience.

To get a better overall picture of what is a good unit.
