Quick Question on Scale -
If something is advertised as 1/72 scale, will it look right in a Warhammer army?
A quick read says that the 1:87 scale is the original nominal 25 mm figure scale. From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scale_model_sizes
Basic math says that the 1:72 scale miniature would run slightly bigger, right? You think a 1/72 miniature could pass as a WFB infantryman??
About 17% bigger?? But historical stuff runs small anyway....
Here are some examples:
**Ex1 www.amazon.com/IMEX-554-American-Artillery-IMXS0554/dp/B000T9S7IO/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1536791455&sr=1-2&keywords=imex+1%3A72
**Ex2 www.amazon.com/null-Imex-Sioux-Indians-IMX508/dp/B0007QO5HQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1536791455&sr=1-4&keywords=imex+1%3A72
**Ex3 www.amazon.com/dp/B001IYHKNM/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvpv2_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=6375e697-f226-4dbd-a63a-5ec697811ee1&pd_rd_wg=930v6&pf_rd_r=0YV7A0WVVBA5YTBAPC8C&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-bottom-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B001IYHKNM&pd_rd_w=VcpWv&pf_rd_i=imex&pd_rd_r=10842cda-5dc6-4438-88d1-febebaa4cc70&ie=UTF8&qid=1536791483&sr=2
**And this one too, 54mm www.amazon.com/dp/B01LM254JQ/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stppvp_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=d45777d6-4c64-4117-8332-1659db52e64f&pd_rd_wg=DlNqS&pf_rd_r=H7ZZ9J610ZFM0HRKWMTZ&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-bottom-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B01LM254JQ&pd_rd_w=Drru5&pf_rd_i=imex+1%3A72&pd_rd_r=5f89e89c-b2b0-4c79-8ee4-69483512cd7e&ie=UTF8&qid=1536791481&sr=2
I know [from experience] that something called out as 1/32 (or 1:32) is more 54mm size. 2XL. Those play out more "Ogre-Sized" in WFB...
Given that the examples are pretty inexpensive on Amazon, I might just pull the trigger and see what they look like when I get them IRL. A $10 risk seems pretty low.
