Thanks strutsagget! Mottdon, I just recognised your name, I was obsessed with that site back in the day. You must have been prolific there too, especially sharing painting photos. I did for quite a while, until someone on there started hounding me about my painting. He wasn't helpful or just simply nice. He did nothing but criticize. Now, I can take criticism. I'm an Architect, so that's a huge part of the job. But he was virtually the only one responding to my posts, so it became a very depressing place to go, especially if nobody else cared. So I basically dropped that site and focused on other sites (like this one!) that had good, constructive criticism, and where the people were a pleasure to involve in communications. I'm glad you're here, and you've done some lovely work! I REALLY like the purple on your Mortis Engine! So refreshing to see an alternate paint scheme from the standard "etherial" look. I also sympathize with you, because I know that model can be a nightmare to pain and assemble!

Thats a shame what happened to you at Asrai.org Mottdon. The comments to my painting pictures sometimes seemed passive aggressive. But overall I loved the site. When 8thEd Wood Elves book came out the place erupted, 20 or more new comments each hour of checking. Thanks for you compliments. I hope purple looks gothic and eerie. I personally find the usual light green ethereal look a bit unconvincing and that and I wouldnt get my paintings-worth out of doing the ghosts and Hexwraiths like that. The Mortis Engine was a bit wonky when I tried putting it together but luckily the glue hadn't completely dried so I could bend and force it to face straight ahead, it was stressful! One of the Spirit Hosts was very tedious to put together too, it required three points to meet up and glue at the same time. Just don't look too closely at them please.

Nice updates. I like the purple skeleton horde and the Mortis Engine is such an epic model you can't help but admire it.

Two Garden of Morrs. And a DIY graveyard, to use up the extra fencing that wont fit around the buildings. I used a stick for the dead tree and the ravens and headstones are from the Renedra gravestones sprue. Nihilakh Oxide was easy to use and looks great even first time trying it. It is a huge kit that took a long time but is worth it. Thanks everyone for looking.
