The Manhirs are really cool - I'd love to have models of those.

The Manhirs are really cool - I'd love to have models of those. You could probably make some using stones from your back garden (assuming you have a garden) - just paint some Celtic designs on, join them together with twigs, some of the GW vines and either superglue or stick-everything glue, and they're ready for battle

Also, lordofskullpass go ahead and grab all master de Witte's Albion art for your rules. I asked in advance via E-mail, just in case:

Thanks for doing that - For the first few drafts I'm following KevinC's format by not including any artwork or much lore yet and focusing on getting the rules balanced, but at some point I will want to make a fully-fledged army book, so getting Matt's permission to use his artwork is very reassuring. Just wondering, are the Hurlers' ammunition going to be Magical like the Bowlers' stones, or are they mundane?

Great choice - while no archaeological evidence has been found to suggest that the actual Celts burned victims alive in Wicker Men as the Romans say they did, it nevertheless makes a great unit entry in a Fantasy Celt army! Just wondering admiral, I wonder if you could query whether Matt could divert some of his time into thinking of specifically named Hero-level characters? I ask because I have five different named Lord characters now (Vaia, Draiorix, Beggorix, Buddug and the King of the Giants), which is great, but no named Hero choices that would fit into an Order-aligned Albion army list (I'm saving Ternoash and Alfrithr for a Destruction-aligned Albion army list called 'Hordes of Shadow' as a working title). I understand that he principally designs units and characters wherever his imagination takes him, which is perfectly fine (I'm similar), but I just wanted to pass a request/suggestion so that I can develop a balanced Fantasy army list in the manner of the official armies.

lordofskullpass : Matt has got a slew of planned characters here, much in the pipeline. He's got a question here for you: Or both, even? Speaking of heroes:

lordofskullpass : Matt has got a slew of planned characters here, much in the pipeline. He's got a question here for you: Or both, even? Speaking of heroes:
Concerning Matt's question, I was mainly after some named characters that aren't very high up in the Albion hierarchy and are either simply minor lordlings or wandering outcasts. However, the Champion of Ogham and the Headhunter are some great non-named, generic Hero choices I can also add to the army list, as because there are so many named Lord choices, some additional generic Hero choices would balance out the possibility of there being fewer named Heroes. The Albion list can be similar to the Tomb Kings army list, for example, in that in the Tomb Kings army list, in addition to the Hero versions of the Tomb King and Liche High Priest (the Tomb Prince and Liche Priest respectively), they added a couple of extra generic Hero choices that don't have Lord equivalents (the Necrotect and the Tomb Herald), to balance out the reduced number of named Heroes in comparison to named Lords (Tomb Kings have Settra, Khatep, Arkhan and Khalida as Lord choices and Nekaph, Ramhotep and Apophas as Hero choices). Albion can be similar in that it can have Vaia, Begorix, Buddug, Ternoash and the King of the Giants alongside the generic Overking and Truthsayer as Lord choices, and only two or three named Heroes alongside the generic Tribal Chieftain, Headhunter, Champion of Ogham and Druid as the Hero choices. Hope that helps clarify my previous question. Thanks again for sending my suggestions over!

lordofskullpass : Here's Matt's reply. I personally wouldn't be surprised if the Albion Odyssey snowballs into more minor characters, though. Wait and see.

lordofskullpass : Here's Matt's reply. I personally wouldn't be surprised if the Albion Odyssey snowballs into more minor characters, though. Wait and see. No worries, I'll change Buddug and the King of the Giants so that they will become Hero choices alongside Beggorix's paramour and Vaia, Beggorix and Draiorix can remain as Lord choices. Then, if you think of any more Hero choices, I can reverse some of those amendments. Cornu Players The Cornu is a magical war trumpet that inspires its army to feats of glory, each style has its own sound and affects the listener differently. The immense amount of work and care that goes into each one belies its importance to the people of Albion. These are not common instruments, neither is it a common man who plays them! -------------------- I wanted to combine the different styles of La Tene trumpets. But I'm not sure where I got the idea for a wrap-around. I most definitely saw it somewhere. [/div][/quote] These will make a good Hero choice that can boost allies' morale.
