Lord of Skull Pass' Custom Rules

In my established lore, Fachans are Greater Daemons of Be’lakor, created in his image, so any large demon model that bears a resemblance to the Dark Master and is painted in a suitably shadowy colour scheme will fit well as a Fachan. The Balrog model from the Middle-Earth range is certainly a fitting example.



Both these aspects of his rules are from the ‘Battlescroll’ GW created for him during the End Times. Indeed I have by and large used this profile as the basis of his rules, I’ve just beefed him up a bit with a couple of extra wounds and an extra point of Toughness to fit the increased size and stature of his new plastic incarnation. Indeed as I wrote the rules with that version of Be’lakor in mind, you could easily give his old metal/resin model a new life as a Fachan in the army list.



Ah yes, the Herald of Be’lakor is a Lesser Daemon and shouldn’t have the Large Target special rule. That’ll teach me to be more careful when copy-pasting profiles!



I had intended to introduce this new base size to Warhammer, but perhaps on second thoughts the Treeman’s 100x50mm base size would be a better fit.



The Dark Shadows campaign was one of my go-to sources for lore and rules for this supplement, alongside the 2nd Edition campaign ‘The Tragedy of McDeath’. I wanted to refer to as many existing sources as possible, while updating them for 8th Edition and altering things slightly to fit with my new lore and units, to make sure this army list could easily fit into Warhammer Fantasy’s canon without looking out-of-place. The same goes for my Albion list, which represents the Order side of the hidden power-struggle on the Misty Isle.
