Howdy! I ended up with an unreasonably large pile of Ogre Infantry. So I guess that will be my next army project. I like the standard plastic models in all their chubby glory so all is good there. What I don't have at the moment are any of the fun big models. And I am not really in love with the ice age look of these creatures. So. Are there other options? For stonehorn and ironblaster and mornfang riders? Maybe in the reaper bones range? I wasn't really following ogre stuff in the Golden Age of the Ogre Stronghold. Anything you post will be new to me.

Well, I can't testify to the Stonehorn or Ironblaster alternatives, but I have used a few of those alternative models in my Ogre army.
The Scibor models are probably some of my favorites. They are sculpted really well and are scaled the same size as the GW Ogres. I kit bashed their cheiftan model to be my BEB, since there isn't really a good option for that out there. I liked his pose and thought it'd fit well with a banner.
The Avatars of War Ogres are slightly smaller than the GW Ogres. That might be a concern if you are wanting them as your Lords/Heroes.
I haven't really found any great alternatives for casters though. I just stuck with GW for those.

Allow me revisit this topic. I've since acquired a gator cannon and am in the process of warhammering it up into an ironblaster. So, that leaves me still wanting some kind of stonehorn/thundertusk. Discoking, I like your version. Not terribly cheap unless I can land a good deal locally. Anybody had a new idea over the last couple months?  |

I promise this is the last time I drag up this topic from the depths.
I finally found a Stonehorn I like. It's a war mammoth available from thingiverse by a gentleman named Mr. Disorganized. I scaled it down to 67% and decorated it with a generous helping of GW bits. Next step, paint this bad boy!

The Mammoth & Gator look great, useful thread for myself as I am also looking to do an Ogre army as they are still my favourite race in the setting, my only regret is I missed out on buying the brilliant FW Rhinox Rider models when they were still available for sale.
