I also added a Grail knight musician to my group of Paladins. So, I have 3 grail knights now with my Lord/Hero (Bohemond de Bastonne), and my BSB. What sets these guys apart is I add the helmet crest (all dragons to pattern after Bohemond). And then they get fully embellished with baroque designs. These are the pretty knights, and they stand out. I also am giving them a yellow field instead of white behind the dragon heraldry. Despite all the detail, these are really fun to paint mainly due to the spectacular results. They really make my other knights look plain. But that is the pecking order and design of my army. I really love the sight of all of these knights put together on the table. This army is really what attracted me to this game. I'm so glad it's finally in front of my eyes now. I haven't built any errant knight units specifically, yet. I'm sure I could use some of my knights of the realm models to substitute for them anytime. But I haven't yet nailed down what I will do for the errants, but it will have something that makes them look very generic and amateur compared to the regular knights of the realm. But, I will figure that one out a little further down the road. See this post for more Grail Knight photos!

Last but not least, I have a Damsel of the Lady to grace the table. Her dress matches the colors of her realm.

You are on a role! Superb work with all the knights! Knights should be painted to however you want them to look 😁

Some army shots. I'm at about 1300 points. From left to right: 20 bowmen with defensive stakes. 15 Knights of the Realm with full command and Lances. 3 Grail Knights with the General, Battle Standard Bearer, Musician, and Lances. 10 Questing Knights with full command and Great Weapons. A Lady of the Lake fluff model. A Damsel of the Lady, level 1 wizard. 20 Men-at-arms with full command and Halberds.

It's been a while. Good news is since I've reached 1000 points I've been getting more games in. But it's time to get my armies growing to the 1500 points level. Here's my new edition to my Bretonnia army. 20 men at arms with swords and shields. Although the knights are tough to bring down, I decided I needed more numbers to my growing army. So, more peasants... uhhh men-at-arms... were summoned. The models are metal models from Black Tree Design.

Very nicely done.
I ended up getting lost in your blog. Some great stuff there. Also i had never seen coloured chainmail but I like what you did on your dwarfs. I might actually copy it for mine.

I appreciate it. I think it helps tie in the color theme. Not always important, but sometimes its fun to emphasize it. Have fun with it.
