They do have odd reactions to a fluff/fun alternative army list.

On another side note: it is ironic that the same discussion regarding the Razor Standard raged in 2011 on various fora, and the very same arguments were presented to claim that it affected missile weapons. Then, the FAQ confirmed the RAW/BRB. To claim that this has no bearing on Forgefire is humbug. Here is the discussion on dakka: www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/350901.pageI was really confused by that post for ages until I clicked that it would have been referring to the old wood elf book !

This is one of those rules discussions that slightly confuses me because it seems clear-cut that Runesmiths do not give AP to missile weapons.
Maybe people think that about every rules argument but it does not seem like an especially grey area to me

It is one of the many instances where some do not read what the rules actually say, but what they think the rules should say. As an attorney-at-RAW, I am quite amused by the "RAW" claim by the opponents in the dakkadakka thread, all the while glossing over the RAW "Wounds caused in close combat by a model" etc. And any RAI argument that this was really an error and the rule really just meant to say "Wounds caused by a model" has been completely scuttled by the Razor Standard FAQ.

The mightiest of Goblin Lords KevinC would not flee from such rabble.... I prefer to think it of them failing their stupidity test.
