Allegience: Neutral Base size 40x40 Monstrous Infantry Unit size 1+ Ancestral Guardians can be taken by any army as a rare choice. Ancestral Guardians are enchanted statues and generally used by their creators to protect tombs or treasure. Powerful magic is needed to create an Ancestral Guardian and a portion of this power remains and helps protect the Guardian from harm. Ancestral Guardians take many forms and range in scale from barely larger than a man to almost giant size. The total number of Ancestral Guardians which exist in the Warhammer world is unknown but adventurers have reported seeing them in varied places ranging from Sylvanian graveyards to dwarven holds. It is rumored that such guardians protect the vaults which hold the deepest secrets of the Imperial colleges of Magic however the Supreme Patriarch Balthasar Gelt has scoffed at such claims. When he was asked whether he had mastered the secrets to their construction no answer save a wry smile from the corner of his golden mask was forthcoming.

Cool. I think you could go a bit cheaper in terms of points on these guys. Also, as statues are typically stone or metal I could see the armor save being better than 5+.

I like it. The price is a bit high. I'm thinking 60 would be good. The armor plus ward seem fine to me.

Thanks for the feedback i will take what you have both said under consideration. A 4+ armor save certainly seems reasonable and makes the Guardian a bit better for the points.
The reason the Guardian has the 5+ save and isnt so good for the points is that it is based off of the Tomb Kings Ushabti which are considered underpowered but fit the guardian thematically. In play testing 2 Ancestral Guardians (150 points) would generally beat 3 Ushabti (150 points).
Compared however with units in the Daemon book (where everything has a 5+ ward save) the Ancestral Guardian is quite uncompetitive.
Hmmm
