So this is an idea ive been thinking about to get a fun, crazy game in and maybe use some of my less used models. Basically three forests in the middle of the board, monsters and troops also looking for treasure can be spawned and will attack both players (or other spawned creatures/troops). This is just for fun and in no way meant to be used in a competitive game.
THE SCENARIO NAME. 3 Forests of Death
Word has spread of 3 forests that contain a vast amount of treasure. Many adventurers and creatures have converged into this area seeking their fill.
THE ARMIES
Each player chooses an army
from a Warhammer army list, to an equal points value agreed before the game
THE BATTLEFIELD
3 forests of similar or equal size will be deployed, 1 in the middle of the table and two equal distance away from the middle forest and the table edges (right and left) set in a line
DEPLOYMENT
Players deploy their armies as per the Battleline scenario as described on pg. 144 of the Warhammer rulebook.
FIRST TURN
After deployment, players roll off to see which player takes the first turn. The player who finished deploying his army first adds a +1 bonus to his roll.
GAME LENGTH
The battle length will usually last for six game turns.
VICTORY CONDITIONS
Each side gains 3 points for being in each forest (first one there) by the end of the game, also 1 point for each unit they destroy.
SCENARIO SPECIAL RULES
At the bottom of each turn, roll for each forest. On a 3-6 nothing happens.
On the roll of a 1, roll again on the monster chart. The monster will go 3D6 in a random direction from the center of the forest. During future turns it will roll 3D6 to the closest unit. If a unit is in the forest, the monster will charge the unit in the front, if the unit is engaged in the front, then the sides, and finally the rear.
On the roll of a 2, roll again on the troops chart. If necessary, roll a D3 to determine how many troops and what the troops are armed with. The troops will go 2D6 in a random direction from the center of the forest. During future turns it will roll 2D6 to the closest unit. If a unit is in the forest, the monster will charge the unit in the font, if the unit is engaged in the front, then the sides, and finally the rear. Troops do not have champions, musicians, or standard bearers.
Note: If there are not enough models or monsters for the roll you make, roll again on the same chart
