I actually thought the first picture was from 40K :-)
The warchanter is really cool, his arms really look muscled. Are they in plastic or metal?

It looks like there is a new AOS special character. I cant wait to see this Maw Crusha in the flesh.

Indeed, the Maw Crusha comes with options for a special character. Here is the full release list with prices and all:

Where are the Gobbos?
Not sure what to make of the new monster yet, need to see more. It looks like a giant, bloated bat to me.
Again though, GW scale is getting too big. They are doing true 30/32 mm models now, as opposed to 28 mm "heroic" figures.

This is the Ironjawz release so that's why there aren't any Gobbos. Hopefully there will be a Gobbo related release later, and hopefully they'll be small. Big Black Orcs is ok. Big Gobbos would not be ok.

Some of that stuff looks pretty darn cool. Don't like the heavily armored guy as much as I do the giant boar riders, infantry characters and wyvern. I'm not a fan of the yellow armor paint scheme but that's not a big deal.

That war chanter guy is cool. My concern with anything from this release is "will they fit on 25mm squares?"

That war chanter guy is cool. My concern with anything from this release is "will they fit on 25mm squares?" Of this release i think only the war chanter will fit onto a 25mm square base easily. The shaman's legs are very wide apart and the Mega Nob Boss looks almost ogre sized. The brutes look larger than the stormcast. Imo black orcs (new plastic kit) only just squeeze onto 25mm's so there is no way these bigger brutes will. I wonder how these new Squigboars (i dont care that's what i'm calling them!) would fit onto demigryph bases. They look pretty big. I could see a unit of 3 on demigryph rectangles looking very imposing.

seems to me these brutes and not-boar riders need to be monstrous infantry/cavalry to account for their size. hmm, I think there might be people able to come up with decent 8th rules for them...RIGHT HERE on this forum.

Agreed! I don't know about best ever, but it seems like Orcs are still Orcs.

Haha, okay, not the best ever but I really like it. Might start up a Orc cavalry force because of that. Give the leader a sword attached to the stump of his arm so he only has one mob. His big knife mob. (No one asks him anymore why he doesn't just count on his other hand after he named it the "hand-he-strangles-nosy-gits-with" hand.)

They are up! And just look how good the Brutes can be if you don't paint them all yellow!
