Hey padre; I got so enthralled by the story that I spent over two hours on friday evening reading it all again from the beginning. I got so inspired by your conversions I started on working on some of my own. I wanted to ask you a favour if it's not too trouble. I'm scratch-building a mortar for my dwarfs which turned out larger that I had anticipated and realized that they could use a crane and steps to load it. I like what you did with Granite Breaker and looked at the modelling page but I'd really appreciate more focused pictured of the crane and the steps if possible. I like how your came out and would like to recreate it.

Hello Luigino, The steps and crane were hastily made photo props (like so much of my stuff) and could have been modelled a lot better. They are simply lollipop stick and wooden rod quick-builds. Nevertheless, here they are more clearly (I seem to have lost the extended linstock the gunner weilded!) ...

Thank you Padre, this is absolutely perfect. The wheel and the attached mechanism around which the thread spools is a really nice touch.

Oh yeah, I should have shown the other side. The wheel and handle are really just for effect, rather than a real attempt to model a working mechanism. I often do think about the workings, but in this case, I just wanted something that would look vaguely convincing as a backgrund detail ...

Once again, and about time, off we go to the 'live' end of the campaign. Having said RIP to Lord Urlak, his player now has a new PC, the condottiere general Vizconde Gismono Giacometti, and this is the introductory story ... bigsmallworlds.com/2024/04/26/an-estalian-income/

What a great update. I always like how you take names of real places and actually turn them into perfectly matching Tilean/Italian puns for the location they're supposed to represent. Also you made me think of a silly song I had not thought of in almost 20 years and that now I won't be able to get out of my mind for the next week

To be honest, I think much of the 'matching' is entirely accidental. My partner studied Italian at university, but I am pretty much left to my own ignorant devices when it comes to the words used! Sometimes I worry that I might ignorantly be picking dubious or problematicc words!

Tilea's Troubles, Part 90 is up. The wars continue in Tilea, and this video helps to explain the general situation. With figures old and new, common and obscure, and a bunch of pics from older videos.
