Hey mottdon, any chance you could post bigger pictures so I can relish in the beastly details and paint prowess?

Great, crisp looking High Elves TyrrenAzureblade ! I slowed down a bit at the end of the month, but managed to get my Cauldron of Blood finished: Or with Hellebron: More photos in my Elves plog.

Those look excellent! I really like the way the avatar of Khaine ended up looking! What did you use to get that wet looking finish to your reds?

Those look excellent! I really like the way the avatar of Khaine ended up looking! What did you use to get that wet looking finish to your reds? Thanks! Underneath the red, the body of the statue is silver - based Leadbelcher, washed Nuln Oil, drybrushed Stormhost Silver. I very thickly layered over Blood for the Blood God (it needs to be thick to get the right effect - no "two thin coats" here), mixed with varying levels of Abaddon Black, which really helps to get a deeper shade to it. Blood for the Blood God has a gloss finish to it, which is what gives it that shiny look, while the way the paint flows means you still have some silver highlights showing through at the edges. You could probably achieve something similar with normal red paint followed by a gloss varnish if you didn't want the metallic look to it.

Tomb Banshee painted for the January 2021 challenge. Some amazing output from the forum this month. The Beastmen were the standout for me. It was a good month.

Dragon Princes command rank is 90% there, I need to finish the basing on the musician, and attach some bits to the banner, freehand a dragon on it (maybe), touch up some washes, and they should be battle ready. Ten more to go! I also realized I've gotten some other painting done this month, so I'll post those here. I did a rank of Swordmasters (my favorite unit), and five Silverhelms (I think I only have pictures of four done). I hadn't realized I had painted this much until just now. Hope I can keep up this momentum for the year. Great job and also an impressive output!
