I may need to give the wet palette a go.

Thanks :-) the yellow was actually the bit I struggled with as it got a bit over diluted which made me work a bit harder applying more layers but I'm happy with the result.
I definitely recommend at least having a go with it if you haven't before.

Ah yes, but layering a color gives the best results anyway, so that may have been a blessing in disguise.

please don't judge too harshly as I said I'm no great artist plus I can never be bothered to be creative with my basing like many people do - my battles only ever take place on cricket pitches . Judge harshly? I would say these look really good in fact! You used paint layering and highlighting to good effect. I also love that these are old school orcs. The pics brought back fond memories for me as the 6th edition box set was my first warhammer purchase and it included these orcs.

Orcs look great and characterful.
The right amount of menace and comedy.

Thanks dannyt and grandmasterwang :-) My orc n goblin army has been a work in progress for 22 years now! It has loads of old stuff in it - evenorcs with crossbows from 3rd edition times -although I have progessed at little as a painter since I did them.
