(This was something I made for the Surprise VII event over on Warhammer-Empire last year. I LOVED this piece and was really reluctant to part ways with him, but I sent him to my recipient anyway. (Bits were taken from 5 different kits to make this guy. In light of the Undead Lore that came out with the ET stuff, I wanted him to appear as though he were summoning a seed and in the midst of casting another spell as he bore down on his opponents.)

Do you have a background/story for this army? They are very characterful and when I clicked the link I was thinking orcs. So I am thinking there might be a cool story to go along with the cool minis. Also, your Luminark is mint, very well done.

Honestly, I just went with the Middenheim theme because when I first started collecting, I quickly fell in love with all of the bearded guys with big hammers. I also have always loved wolves and that seemed like a really cool theme as well. I bought a box of 16 Teutogen Guard way back in 6th and that kinda sealed it for me. The blue and white appealed to me as well. It was crisp, clean and had a very high level of contrast, which was something I was looking for. The fluff behind the city of Middenheim was unlike anything else in the Empire as well. A nigh-unimpregnable fortress on top of a mountain that can be seen for miles and miles away? Yes, thank you!

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted anything on this thread! (I suppose I should get back to doing something for my Empire.)

Well I thought I'd just post what I did for Sixt as his Pleasant Surprise over on W-E for this year. He's already received it, so it's safe to post pics now.

They aren't very elaborate, but seeing as how I didn't have very much time to devote to my hobbies this year, this was the best I could do. At the time I was paired with him as my "victim", he hadn't posted very many pics of his work and what was posted were all custom molds of hobbits that he made himself. That makes looking for something that fits in his army quite a challenge! These were several that I found on the Reaper site that I thought could fit his theme fairly well. I had originally planned to do a whole diorama with these 5 as though they were hired Giant hunters, investigating the damaged crops of a local farmer by an opportunistic monster. Well...babies happened and that didn't. So this was the result.
