I picked up all the books for the races I play when they went off sale. The prices had already increased ~100% on ebay from what they were going for ages ago. The one I really want to get my hands on is Tamurkhan but that is currently beyond my price range I am going to have to try and get hold of the Dark Elves book at some point since I have an unbuilt battalion sitting in a cupboard but that will have to wait until other projects are finished

I'm also looking for the Battle Magic card set...and magic cards for whatever other races I play.

I don't understand why this stuff is so expensive. They were practically giving away the Fantasy Forge World books just before AOS came out and it seems most people are not playing 8th edition. I think if you continue to wait it out this stuff will go down in price.
I was at a store where all the books were 50% off. Shrug.

Ive been working at getting as many 8th edition hard covers as I can , Dwarves and High Elves seem to be the most expensive at about $45.00 to $50.00. The hardest books to get were the End Times books I finally got a full set between Ebay and Amazon paying about $50.00 each , Amazon was the worst I had to send 2 books back that were damaged in shipping because they werent packaged well, the Ebay ones were cheaper and were packaged well. All the other army books go for about $25.00 to $35.00 depending on condition. Ive got all my army books , Daemons, Chaos, Orcs & Goblins , and now Skaven ( just bought a Skaven army) . Getting the magic cards are the hardest to find Im still looking for O&G and now Skaven magic cards. Thankfully I bought Tamurkhan years ago before it went astronomical , I cant believe how much the Slaves to Darkness sell for now O.O There are some fan websites that do have the army books in a pdf form that can be downloaded , I'll create links in the sticky post for rules.

It does seem bizarre since between AoS & T9A you would assume that fewer people than ever before are playing 8th Tamurkhan seems to be going on ebay between £45-70 which is a little steep for my tastes. I am not really too confident this is going to drop in price because anything remotely Chaos Dwarf pretty much means it is going to be extortionately priced. The magic cards were always a pain to get hold of because they were limited run for some strange reason. GW does make some baffling decisions sometimes

With the magic cards you could always make your own, that isn't very tough to do.

Hardcovers maybe...

I already have most of the 8th edition books that I want (I never want Demons of Chaos or Warriors of Chaos), but I still need Brets, and Beastmen. I've found some really great deals on these books at 2nd and Charles though. I just go by every now and then and check to see if they have anything new. LGS and online shops are all too expensive because they are out of production and they figure someone will pay top dollar to get their hands on one. They're probably right too.

I'm pissed I didn't buy the remainder of army books from pair-a-dice games when he closed. I bought empire and wood elves but I left woc, cd, lm, tk, dwarf, and vc. All of them were $5 and I was cheap that day only wanting to spend $10 on 2.
Yes....yes I know, I am lame😣
I have the beast men book tho back when millenium got rid of old stuff, I was like lemme get that.

Would have made my search a lot faster then searching the internet for $20 max books (and more preferably < $15).
