The Colossus is a good/neutral monster and a 275 point pick. The Colossus is a part of my Dogs of War army but has been seen marching to battle alongside Dwarfs, the Empire and even other monsters. The Colossus can sure take it... but he can't really dish it out unless its with his thunderstomp. As always any feedback welcome. Model is from Mierce Miniatures

I would also give him magic resistance (3), but with the exception that the magic resistance is ignored when he is the target of lore of metal spells. I would change stubborn to unbreakable and remove instability. Lower the initiative to 1. Toughness 7.
And give him a special rule that shooting have -2 to hit modifier and shooting attacks that don't need to roll to hit should first roll a 4+ to see if they can target it.. this would be because of the glittering/shining of all the bronze.. .

Thanks for the feedback. I always forget about magic resistance but will absolutely incorporate your suggestion as it makes sense and is flavourful. Regarding I1 and T7 i am torn. I used I3 initially as the ushabti animated statues are I3...... hmmm. I3 also means it cant be ista gibbed as easy and i see (in my head) the colossus as moving deceptively fast and having some decent fighting technique (ws 4). I may well change to t7 and i1 for no difference in points.... food for thought. Regarding stubborn/unbreakable this was deliberate. Basically when we play we dont like powerful unbreakable stuff and the potential impact it can have so WOC daemon princes for example we play as stubborn not unbreakable. My mates like and accept the Colossus... if it was purely unbreakable the acceptance would have been much harder. My thoughts were that with the Stubborn/Ld 10 is that it is still functionally unbreakable but can still suffer up to 2 wounds from losing combat (11 or 12 rolled). Maybe i should include a note about no popping on a roll of 12 as the new 8th Daemon book changed instability. Cheers
