Can a unit with Hover, march when using their ground movement?

Hover follow all rules from fly except marching. No to March yes to move on the ground. Fly allows a unit instead of flying using it’s normal movement characteristic. Missread your post so edit my post to more reflect your question.

Well, RAW they cannot march at all. That said, with the exception of the Incarnate Elemental, all Hover units seem to have M1 - including the Bat Swarms not yet mentioned. So, either way, it does not seem to make that much of a difference. Granted, sometimes 1" can make a difference, otherwise there would not be certain kinds of extension operations....

Well, RAW they cannot march at all. I agree, and so does the rulebook. pp.71 HOVER "Models with the hover special follow the all rules for flyers, but cannot march."
