I've been playing against Skaven lately, and have been wondering this: if (when) I destroy Bell / Furnace and the character with, let's say a cannon shot, the model is undoubtedly removed. However, what we have been unable to find, is what happens to the rest of the unit, as there is now a huge gap inside the unit. With my logic, the unit has to reform immediately, because otherwise it can end up split into two, and that doesn't make any sense. Is there any mention about how this should be done officially?

The unit does not reform, but simply follows the normal rules of removing models. When the Bell/Furnace was deployed in the unit, it has displaced R&F models. When it is destroyed, R&F models will fill that space again, maintaining the width of the unit by reducing the number of ranks as necessary. If there are not enough models to completely fill the first rank in this way, then models are removed equally from both ends of the first rank.
