Hihi, returning player here getting much more into the game than I previously was and a couple things seem unclear to me.
Does the doomwheel get into combat in a similar way as the Hell Pit Abomination regardless of the difference in wording for their random movement? The Abomination's rules in armybook specifically state it counts as having charged "If the Abomination movement is sufficient to take it into enemy unit then it counts as charging" but the doomwheel's says "Should a Doomwheel come into contact with a unit (friend or foe) the Doomwheel will come to a stop, causing impact hits", The only mention of charging is on the misfire chart on a result of 3-5
Another question I have is about Zzzzap!, since the bolts it unleashes happen during shooting phase, does the nearest enemy need to be in the front arc of the model?

The Skaven FAQ that is available on this site makes a lot of edits and changes to the Army book, to bring it into 8E.
The FAQ specifically addresses your question by basically removing the entire paragraph:
Page 67 – Doomwheel, Rolling Doom. Replace this special rule with the following: “The Doomwheel has the Random Movement special rule, with the following exceptions. • If the move takes it into a friendly unit, the creature will inflict D6+1 S6 Hits, distributed in the same manner as shooting attacks, and then stop 1" away from the unit (or flee through it if it is fleeing).” • The Doomwheel treats terrain in the same manner as a Chariot.”
Note that the ‘Loss of Control’ rule remains unchanged.
